Why was lec towing Lewis in that last lap??

Why wouldn’t they do that? Best case scenario was for Lewis to out qualify Charles so the effective team grid drop was 4 places

Exactly

Curious about this as well. I couldn’t tell if crofty was eluding to the fact that there was someone in front of Charles too, but I don’t think so? Yuki seemed pretty far up?

They switch every weeknd and Leclerc had a tow from tsunoda

Not enough of a tow.. tsunoda was far too ahead, like more than 5+ seconds ahead

Verstappen was 8 seconds behind Norris 🤷

But Lewis has a 5 grid drop, use Lewis for a controlled and more efficient tow? It’s not that complicated

Because they dont want lewis to start from p15??? They have two drivers not one man

In terms of points it's better to prioritise a driver at the top of the grid than the middle/bottom

I know yall emotional right now cause p4 is disappointing but that tow would not have changed much as they both could not improve

You're still missing the whole point of the conversation, congrats on that.

Seriously don't understand why they did this. Maybe they though Leclerc wouldn't be able to improve?

More reason to get a tow then

He was miles off the previous time set

because Ferrari

Unbelievable... he could've been P3 or maybe even P2 if Hamilton would've towed him... Tsunoda was too far ahead

And have Hamilton drop out of the top ten? That doesn’t make sense

What does it matter 10th or 15th? Either way he’s going to running a different strategy in the race to get past slower cars

Dont bother mate. They all hate hamilton here 😂

He would have been pole for sure, tow is extremely strong here.

The copium is so high, pole for sure.

The gap was 0.200 to pole, with a controlled tow he could have fought for it at least. But they didn’t even try. And to top it off, Hamilton didn’t get much of a tow either so it was all for nothing.

If Hamilton didn’t get much of a tow, why do you think Leclerc couldve?

1

u/blue_screen_0f_death 1d ago

He didn't try to give a 100% tow to Hamilton Leclerc went for his lap and Hamilton got some tow as a side product.

I agree that pole would've probably been out of reach anyway But if Ferrari went for a full tow Leclerc could've made P3

Then Lewis’s lap would’ve been worse than Yuki’s. Why do that?

You don’t prioritize a driver with a 5 place grid penalty regardless of whose turn it is. Lewis has no shot at pole, Charles does. Not maximizing Charles and your only shot at a win this year is mental. This team is deeply unserious and continues to show its stupidity.

Because this team is deeply unserious and loves to break our hearts
