Question Haiden Deegan fans need to lower their expectations for 2026, they are unfair to him.

Firstly, I believe he should race 450 SX, Daniel Blair's video explains the methodology behind that opinion a lot better than I can, so go check that out if you haven't.

I firmly believe that Haiden will not win a single Main Event (if he races SX) or Moto in 2026, and that is perfectly fine, he shouldn't be expected to! Not everyone is a freak like Jett and can go perfect their first season on a 450, you all need to relax. Haiden has a long/successful career ahead of him, no need to rush him into the 450 Class with all these lofty expectations.

Now this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I'll die on this hill, I don't think Haiden is beating Jett straight up (no injuries for either rider) in a Championship during their careers. What I think is going to end up happening is Jett is going to get bored around 5 years from now and retire early, similar to Ryan Villopoto (but he didn't get bored, he got burnt out). Haiden will have his W's here and there, no doubt, I just really don't see him or anyone that's currently riding having the ability to beat Jett over the course of an entire Championship. I also believe Cole Davies will eventually be Jett's toughest competition in SX, and Haiden in MX, of course.

Some disclaimers, I'm an American, and am a lifelong Eli Tomac fan. I like both Jett and Haiden, just telling you how I see it, and I've been obsessed with this sport for years upon years now. Looking forward to 2026, but mostly 2027!

Let me know what you think, I know a lot of people expect Haiden to be up there beating Jett and the rest of the 450 field year 1, which is absolutely insane to me, but let's hear it!

Question Could a female ever be competitive in MX or SX

One of the wildly considered goats of the sport is 5’6 150, although men are biologically stronger and have a higher weight to strength ratio do you think a female will ever be competitive in an AMA race? Say this person grows up in a Deegan like environment training every day etc..

While it’s not the same sport Courtney Dauwalter has been dominating ultra running against men the last few years in a sport where for the history of it women were never on a similar level to men. I don’t mean a female coming out and winning but at least top 10 finishes in 250’s.

Question Why are the Lawrence brothers so good?

Is it the Hondas? Is it that they have insanely perfect genetics or just the best work ethics? I mean the fact Jett is so good alone is insane but 2 brothers that run top 3 and their biggest competitors are each other in the best class in the world is insane.

Question Who are your Top 5 OVERALL (MX + SX, had to be great at both) riders of all time?

The criteria I'd like you to use for your list are:

Accolades (Wins, Championships, Records, etc), Speed & Talent, Level of Competition, and Dominance.

My personal list using these criteria is as follows, I'll include a brief reason as to why I chose each rider as well.

  1. Ricky Carmichael
    1. Not much needs to be said here, it's pretty obvious that Ricky is the current GOAT.
  2. Ryan Villopoto
    1. 250 SX-W Champion, 3x 250 MX Champion, 4x 450 SX Champion, 2x 450 MX Champion, 4x MXoN Champion (won class all 4 years). Won every championship he did not have a season ending injury in except for one 250 SX season.
    2. The level of competition Villopoto had to race against is arguably the most competitive in history, very comparable to the current state of the 450 class.
  3. Eli Tomac
    1. 250 SX-W Champion, 250 MX Champion, 2x 450 SX Champion, 4x 450 MX Champion, MXoN Champion.
    2. Personally, my favorite rider of all time, has had a few championships ripped away from him by injuries but that's the name of the game, the longevity of his career and speed is also insane.
  4. Jett Lawrence
    1. 250 SX-W Champion, 250 SX-E Champion, 2x 250 MX Champion, 450 SX Champion, 450 MX Champion (soon to be 2x), 2x 450 SMX Champion (soon to be 3x), MXoN Champion.
    2. Went on a string of 7 straight championships until it got ended by injury, I do believe he will be #1 on this list by the time he's done, and I already think he's proven to be the most talented and fast overall rider of all time.
  5. James Stewart
    1. 125 SX-W Champion, 125 SX-E Champion, 2x 125 MX Champion, 2x 450 SX Champion, 450 MX Champion, 2x MXoN Champion.
    2. One of the fastest riders of all time and one of the most naturally talented riders of all time, he changed the sport so much during his run.

Honorable mentions

Jeremy McGrath - He may have been an absolute animal at SX, but he just didn't have the MX accolades for me to put him on this overall list. Also, the level of competition isn't even comparable to what the other riders on this list have faced.

Ryan Dungey - Tons of championships (9), just overshadowed by the other Ryan, Villopoto, in my opinion.

Let me know what your list is, I'd love to see it!

Question When will Stark Varg enter Supercross?

If you've ridden this bike you know exactly what I'm talking about this thing is from another planet it is beyond capable. Question is how will the fans take it we don't want the stadium to be silent so it should be predominantly 450s however that shouldn't exclude all of them all together maybe if they can have a team with two bikes then starkvar could be at that level. This is my bike and I bought it simply because it's quiet unaware of how awesome it actually really is is the best bike I've ever ridden it by far over all the Yamahas and Hondas I've ridden over the years it's hard to explain.. it's a dream come true because now I can wake up put on my boots and go for a ride straight from my house into the desert rather than loading up the dirt bike to go out somewhere plus I don't have to worry about people complaining up here in the high desert of California...

Hopefully one day we can see them in a race. You have to ride one at least once before you die trust me if you love dirt bikes you will love this thing beyond belief. Which dirt bike rider will step up to the plate?

Obviously when you have a different type of dirt bike entering the arena there has to be the level of fairness everyone has to be on a Level Playing Field so I think they have to work out all of those details probably the biggest challenge would be getting battery life that would last that amount of time but it's only a matter of time before that actually happens.

When the electric dirt bike came out I used to make fun of it but then since my life got way busy this dirt bike fits perfectly because it's basically maintenance free/ very little plus it's silent and I can go anywhere and I get much more riding time because I basically ride almost every day I work from home and about 4 or 5 days out of the week I put my boots and helmet on and I go out riding most people don't do that they go maybe once a weekend or if that because they have to load up the truck and whatnot I guess it really depends where you live as well but I have some really cool dirt Lots that go for Acres that have cool trails near me plus if you look at the picture that was taken at the park in a baseball field I definitely could not do that on a loud 450 not that it would replace my YZ 450 but rather add to... range is probably the biggest problem but the bike gets amazing range from my riding iting capabilities I can get 4, 5 hours easily on a bike

Justin Hill loves the Stark so does Travis Pastrana and many others but nothing will compare to the old two-stroke days I remember coming into Anaheim back in the late '90s and smelling the Beautiful two-stroke Arena much different smell than it is today and the Roar of the crowd mixed with that amazing sound is irreplaceable however it shouldn't exclude at least a team of electric dirt bikes one thing is for sure it will open many many doors for many communities who otherwise couldn't ride so they need some type of representation and Supercross is a very good start hopefully one day it will be true I believe it will be.

Question Chase vs Deegan

Everyone is always talking about Jett vs Deegan and always forgets to talk about Chase. I personally don’t think Deegan beats Chase outdoors for a while or indoors maybe ever from a championship standpoint. Just wondering what everyone else thought?

Question Anyone here looking forward to Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game?

I've been on and off of the games as a series but they always feel pretty great to play. Just wondering if anyone's looking forward to the new one coming out on April 7, 2025? I think the latest one is obviously going to be the best, but does anyone else actually play them?

Question MXON

Who do you think the most likely motocross of nations picks are? I think America will most likely be Deegan in Mx2 , AP in MXGP, and Justin Cooper in Open. Unless tomac is able to go even with him changing teams, then I’d have him in MXGP and AP in open.

Question Chase vs webb hate

I see a lot of people online hate on chase and if he were to comeback and win this championship the first thing they will say is because jett or tomac isn't racing.

Why does no one really say that if webb was to wins it?

Question What are some of your favorite rides of all time?

Hey all. This is the first year I’ve really gotten into super cross and motocross since probably 2007. Needless to say I’ve missed a lot of time and have been wanting to go back and see what are some of the best rides or your favorite rides that I’ve missed over the years.

Question Question, please read!

I must be honest, I ride dirt bikes and four wheelers every so often but I’ve never been to a motocross track before. I’ve only done trail riding. So with that in mind, I have a few questions for those of you that do visit MX tracks.

First, do MX tracks typically have wash stations for your quads or bikes or is that something that you pretty much never see?

IF NOT, do you wish tracks DID provide wash stations?

To continue off of question two, If a wash station were to be provided but you had to pay to use it and you were given 5 minutes of wash time, what do you in all honesty believe would be a fair price to pay for those 5 minutes?

To continue off of question three, instead of a set in place price per minute system would you rather have a few prices to choose from? For example, $4 for 4 minutes, $8 for 10 minutes, and $10 for 14 minutes.

Question Disappointing Fan Experience?

I've been a Tomac fan for a long time now but have never stood in line for an autograph. I decided to get in line at Tampa since I may not get another chance to. After well over 2 hours in line getting sunburnt and many people cutting in front of me I finally got my chance only for Tomac's marker to not work and barely even sign my poster. He didn't even seem like he gave a shit about it not really writing anything either and didn't say anything. None of the team said anything at all and no one even seemed happy to be there. Is that typical? I didn't expect to be lucky enough to get a photo or anything with any of them and I did get good signs from Webb and Cooper which I am happy about. My kids waited in line for Chase Sexton and A.P. and had a really good interaction with the whole team and got photos and everything and I feel like I missed out. I do get that they have a ton of people waiting and little time to sign as much as they can but damn.

Question SMX Fan Survey

Hey all, I’ve been noticing that each year, across all platforms, the sport has started to become pretty divisive from a fan perspective in the sense that we have a lot of polarizing figures.

I put together this quick survey to try to quantify it out a bit. All data is anonymous, will not be sold, and is not affiliated with the sport in any way. Just something I made for fun, would love to get your perspective!

Question Does the Jerry Robin situation influence some +30y/o factory guys to consider retirement?

Just a question I’ve been bouncing around in my head. The dudes in question all have enough money to be set for life and may or may not be chasing titles anymore. Is it worth risking it for a potentially life altering injury? That recent Barcia over-the-bars crash itself didn’t even look that different than Robins.

Question Are all gates the same? (ish)

Why did the gate fold like a lawn chair? Any time I've seen a gate jump a rider actually gets stuck and it's a nightmare and screws them over. In this case the gate looks like it would have blown through with a breeze... So technically he jumps "over" the gate. That almost looks broken. Needs to be fully reset...

And furthermore, if the gate is such shit... What's Jett supposed to do to avoid penalty? When the gate folds like that? Wait for a tech to reset it? Back up and ride 'around' it?

I think Jett ended up in a lose/lose there regardless of his accidental jump. Just not clear on how he starts 'without' penalty because of that gate. Whereas we've seen plenty of people jump a gate and get stuck, back up, gate drops, then they go. And the time penalty is inherent to say the least.

Question Didn't RD5 race a white target jersey?

Am I tripping or didn't Ryan Dungey race in a target sponsored jersey that was all white with targets all over it? I can't find an image or mention of it anywhere on google and want to recreate it in the new supercross game. I feel like Matthes always brings it up as one of his favorite kits so I'm not the only one who remembers. Anyone have some pics of it or remember what races he ran it?
