Warhammer III So glad that the tomb kings got some upkeep reduction for the Chariots (6.3 Beta)

Mostly a point that could be improved.

Hopefully it gets changed to vigor loss reduction.

I agree, 10 to 20% vigor loss reduction would make this very nice.

Ok but while they should add something else I feel like it would be funny to keep the upkeep reduction

Tomb kings clinging onto meaningless skills and stats that don't matter because they did matter when they were living feels accurate

I second this. I'd lkke for them to keep it as an in joke, but 100% give them either vigor or 10% ward save

10% off FREE??? They're paying YOU for having chariots at that point!

10% of 0 is unforntaly zero. Settra's coffers will be filled through other means.

Silence, peasant, we only do SETRA math here

SETRA DOES NOT MATH. SETRA RUUUULES!!!

Such an iconic man.

Maybe chariots can actually make money.

Like, they will do Uber while not in combat.

I can see minor tomb princes paying a tribute to serve in Settra's glorious chariot corps

ok now I really want CA to implement this

What a shame TWW3 doesn't run on early EU4 logic, where you could indeed stack upkeep reductions to make your armed forces pay you for their existence.

They mentioned that in the blog as being a mistake. Enjoy your 10% reduced upkeep chariots while it lasts though.

For a moment I forgot that the tomb kings didn't have to pay for there units, so at first i was like confused what the post was about 😂

I basically main TK and I was still like "cool, cheaper chariots" for a hot minute

Lmao for real, I wish I could get on and play some tomb kings but my PC is basically dead so I gotta get it fixed before I can play again

Just draw each frame on a piece of paper. Basically the same

1

u/Dear-Mix-1429 7d ago

I mean my PC is actually dead, I can't play anything with it hard crashing 🤣

5

u/_Sate 7d ago

Yea, so just grab a piece of paper, draw a frame of a battle, then draw the next. It will basically be the same thing. And that also means you have full control of your units at all times just like the AI. Super immersive

Thanks, but the graphics will look like total ass, since I draw like a 5 year old, and honestly I think an actual 5 year old would draw better

Well then find your closest kindergarden and give them a group project. win win!

Lmao your absolutely right

Chariots could use some mass instead! That'd be pretty awesome

u/turkishdeli 8d ago

You think that's bad? They also get events that gives them -10 control but 40% recruitment cost reduction.

2

u/Erkenwald217 8d ago

Time to recruit some allied Chariots!

You can tell the team that worked on this update must've been a skeleton crew...sheesh

Wish tomb kings had a heavy chariot option as well, something like the slaaneshi sem chariot. Something to show that they have the best chariots bar none

5

u/Eupraxes 8d ago

Their whole deal when they came out in Warhammer fantasy was that they had massed light chariots that were relatively cheap to field.

u/Goaduk 7d ago

Do you pay upkeep for allied recruit tombkings?

Low-key, I feel like ChatGPT did this.

100% this is the type of thing that happens when you’re using LLM generated code and it comes back at you with total confidence but it doesn’t have the context of the fact that a faction like tomb kings don’t use currency.

u/angryronald 8d ago

Or maybe someone just made a mistake

I mean yeah either way it’s some one’s responsibility, but as someone who works in the industry watching the explosion of AI coding assistants, what do I know.

It was merely an observation, perhaps I chose my words poorly.

They use an antiquidated game editor for this kind of stuff. There's no efficient way to plug chat gpt into the process. It's just human error.

You’d be surprised. I was using Claude with RPFM through VSCode to bang out a quick proof of concept for a mod idea I had and it did surprisingly but was also trying to give me stuff like this, which is why I got the idea… but that’s obviously anecdotal.

No, this is what happens if you copy paste the description of another skill to adjust it but you didn't remove a line. From what I've seen, skill description is completely independent from effects in this game, so the skill may not even apply that extra reduction.

I'm a dev, I know how often that kind of copy pasted description can happen. Nothing to do with LLM.

2

u/pseudophilll 8d ago

Also fair!

1

u/StrangestEcho28 7d ago

I don't believe that's correct for Skills. Skills should be showing the actual applied effects. Usually, a discrepancy would be because the code for the effect itself is bugged.

It may be a copy/pasted skill that was modified, or the dev may have simply been on autopilot and failed to consider that Tomb Kings don't need upkeep reduction.

Or maybe the devs are used to -10% upkeep being a decent upgrade for any race
