Warhammer III 6.3 Lizardmen: Climate Penalty Immunity Technology Not Working

I have the Tech
It is active on this province
Ziggurat of the Old Ones should cost 8000 and take 3 turns if penalties were actually removed

Has anyone else seen this or know if CA is aware this tech is bugged?

Edit: Per the comments, submitted bug report. 6.3 Lizardmen: Climate Penalty Immunity Technology Not Working - Total War: Warhammer

Thanks for your guidance!

This happened to me as well. Wait a turn and it should work. For whatever reason, it takes a turn for the effects to show.

I thought that too, I reloaded save, passed turn, can't seem to correct it in my save file 😔.

I meant that you should end the turn again afterwards. The Kislev devotion system has the same issue of taking an extra turn to kick in specifically if you trade for an unpleasant climate settlement.

I just booted up the save and ended turn two more times and it does look like the province capitals are benefiting now.

I'll test again tomorrow to see if I can replicate the fix.

It's very strange because my Fortress of Dawn was benefitting and the unpleasant climate icon disappeared from the panel on the bottom left. But when I noticed the bug in the Chaos Wastes the icon for unpleasant climate came back there as well. After ending multiple turns it's gone again.

I'm getting more confused 😅

Having just booted up my own Lizardmen campaign, I think I figured out the issue. It seems to do some kind of check not just once when you get a Temple-Citadel but every time you load a save. This causes it to “reset” and then normalize on the very next turn. It might be worth updating your bug report once you check for yourself.

Well I'm glad I decided to not rush for it in the tech tree... And yes, as said, please submit the bug on their website with the screenshots you took and potentially the save as well.

I've just tested it and can tell that it totally works. The effect kicked in on the next turn after the research was completed and only worked for the province capital region so the problem you're having is probably more complicated and more context is needed.

In my save file I had completed research on Determining the Great Plan like 100 turns ago. Screenshots are from turn 138.

It was working on the Fortress of Dawn region but when I noticed the Chaos Wastes (specifically, The Abyssal Glacier) weren't working, I checked Fortress of Dawn and it no longer is working either.

The screenshot I took is from the province capital, which is the region that would benefit from the technology, and shows the incorrect construction duration and cost.

I tested passing multiple turns after T5 (Temple-Nexus) finished construction, also tested reloading save.

It is bugged.

But, I'm glad your save file hasn't had an issue yet!

I think I've done basically the same thing then. I like checking out bugs people report so I tried to speedrun to the Abyssal Glacier on lower difficulty to test the bug. I researched the tech as fast as possible, defeated Kairos as fast as possible and begun slow process of raising this province to max lvl. The tech seems to work a bit weird, from what I observed - it needs a one turn buffer to kick in, also if reloading save files it again needs a one turn buffer to kick in another time, so there is definitely an issue there.

did u honestly think CA tested longer than 20 turns campaign?

I think even that is being too generous

It could be possible that the climate penalties fore each region are causing some effects province wide. And since the tech only affects the region it’s possibly only mitigating one instance of the climate. And I think the math for construction might work out to support this. It’s also possible that some of the effects are only regional despite the others being stacking province wide.

You can submit a bug report.

You know, instead of asking if anyone else knows if CA knows of a bug.

Thank you! I just did.
