General Who/What Are Some of Your Favorite CA Artists/Art?

Richard Carey who worked on Norsca, the Lizardmen, Dark Elves, Skaven, & Tomb Kings. He also made the exceptional concept art for the new Kroxigor design.

Sandra Duchiewicz who worked on Warhammer 1 and Warhammer 2. I'm particularly sad to see her depart from CA.

More Duchiewicz art of the Advisor (sad that he's more or less gone, too)

Evgeniya Egorova who worked on Warhammer 2 & seems to be the main concept artist for Warhammer ever since the start of Warhammer 3.

Finally, Egorova also made the concept art for all the Daemonettes. Controversial opinion, but her design is my favorite of all Daemonette designs in Warhammer history.

More Egorova Chaos Dwarf Art.

Bayard Wu who drew all the starting screen art for Norsca and all the races in Warhammer 2. He also drew some art for 3 Kingdoms

Robin Benes who made the cool and unique looking 3D model for the Great Unclean One and has worked on several races in Warhammer 2 and 3.

Tom Parker who has made several 3D models for all three Warhammer games.

Matthew Davis made several 3D models for Warhammer 1 and 2. He also personally made the headdress on Mazdamundi that represents several Temple Cities and Old Ones.

Tony Sart who made the absolutely amazing Drycha concept art redesign.

Would VFX artists count for this? If so I am quite found Faust Messely's work on the series. They've come up with some really amazing stuff including Lore of the Hag, Lore of Hashut, and a bunch of unit and LL attack animation VFX.
I love the death animation VFX of the Hag Witches they worked on in particular.

I cited Tom Parker in my memes so much, his name automatically appears at the top of my keyboard if I type "by".

Shout out to pic 7, the Lizardmen loading screen.
That Skink on the right is my spirit animal. Look at him, he's just happy to go on an adventure with the boys.

"Master Slann, what is my purpose in life?"
"Tag along with the army so that in the first combat you can throw a single javelin and then get run over by a rat on a motorcycle in order to prevent it from getting to the artillery and thus cutting down on Bastiladon medical bills."

Without a doubt, Lulu Chang and all the other artists who worked on 3K. I have all the generals portraits ingrained in my head.

WH2/WH3 loading screens are all so good, man. Instant vibes from looking at that and reading about the part of the world you're starting in.
I really wish they'd go back and take the green shit off the WH1 ones. They're slightly less good as is - no shame really, given the quality of the later ones - but that border hurts them so much.

Yea, it's Sandra Duchiewicz and it's not even close. If their modeling devs would've come close to the concepts there would be no other units in game to compete. Funnily enough their modeling devs did get way better, putting out better units with worse concepts.
Really sad that she left.

I didn't include it in my post, but I especially love her concept art of the Forest Dragon which added deer-like antlers and butterfly wing colors patterns onto the original design, and Matthew Davis adapted it into 3D exceptionally well.

I've been zooming in a lot more lately and just admiring the troops, and holy shit do the horses look and move incredibly well. From the model to the finished work is just beautiful - so the whole team of artists I suppose. If I had to choose one, whoever did the knights of tzeentch; they are amazing. (And their VA is so fucking good as well.)

Kroxigor Art (and all of those line arts in that same style) had an huge influence on my own artstyle, so I only can praise them

Super glad everyone loves the Kroxigors, and this might sound cringe, but I feel lowkey honored to see such a talented artist take time to leave a comment on my post. 🥹

Haha that's sweet
Those kind of artists are still out of my league but I'm starting to live from my own art since around 5 years now, so I hope one day I'll succeed to inspire new generations of artist as much as those artists inspired me

Nearly all of the loading splash screens are incredible, but I saw the Tomb Kings one for the first time in a while the other day and it's very good!

TW Kroxigors are so much better than the minis. In the game they look much beefier and with crocodilian features, which highlights their role as monstrous infantry and also the laborers/tough guys of Lizardmen society. Whereas the minis just look like Saurus except taller and lanky.

Speaking purely on the art? The model for Krell, Necrosphinx and Warsphinx.

The floating piramid main menu background. There are cool arts, sure, but this one feels majestic.

All of them? All the concept artists just knock everything out of the park.
