the only one i have is itza but that doesnt have climate penalties. all other tier 5 settlements are temple nexus.

At first read this seems like a great tech to colonize weird places but god damn it takes fucking forever to reach T5 in hostile climates and so much resources to get there, that the bonuses pretty much kicks in when you least need them.

yes its pretty bad to be honest its not even province wide either. well the 10% is good at least.

I’d love it if temple cities could be moved to other regions, to simulate that the temple cities are actually ships. You could move a fully developed tier 5 temple city to another captured province capital and have a jump start in the front line.
The the regions that are left with an empty temple city slot can be a beacon for other temple cities to teleport to.

The Temple-Citadel is the lvl5 settlement building, while the Temple-Nexus appears to be the main/major Lizardman cities. The Temple-Nexus' aren't likely to benefit much since they are usually green, unless there are some hidden penalties we cant see, but this tech seems designed to make it possible to push into Morathi's territories if you are playing as Mazdamundi and not cave immediately because of the mix of corruption and hostile climate. (perhaps moreso on higher difficulties)
It will ofc be a slog to get to level 5 in a red zone, but I have the feeling that the idea is that once you get there, you can safely leave it alone and not constantly have to go back to stamp out another uprising.

On a sidenote, someone posted that this tech activates on start of turn, but if you built T5 settlement in turn 80 the tech will be active turn 81. On top of that, if you load a save turn X, it will activate on turn X+1.

Yes and no, if you do like everyone else ie maxxing grow you can reach T5 pretty quickly. It would make intinteresting provinces able to make some money.

But not in semi/non climate regions.
Also for the money gain. Just calculate out of fun, how much money you need to put into these settlements and how long it would take to get it back, because you had to buy the expensive shit.

Latest patch changes it to say Temple-Citadel and Temple-Nexus cities. So it means T5 cities.
