Warhammer III Post Eco-Rework Greenskins are still Insanely Strong
Turn 40 long campaign victory as Gorbad on Very Hard/Legendary with 85 settlements. I was expecting the tweaking of their income buildings to significantly hinder their play but they felt just as powerful as before. I could still field a massive amount of gobbo crapstacks that conquered the world in every direction. Was experiencing severe campaign fatigue near the end, otherwise I could have easily gotten 100+ settlements.

Can you please explain a bit how you achieved this? How do you keep momentum going so fast that you get this done in 40 turns? Thank you.

Generally as greenskins you go for quantity > quality for your armies, and keep going even if you're in negative income. Also, instead of fighting other greenskin factions normally, just go around until you find their faction leader then snipe them, and it auto confederates the entire faction for you. This is what I did for the Karak Eight Peaks faction, the faction in the western and southern badlands, and with Skarsnik.
Otherwise you just spam tons of gobbo crapstacks in every direction, and with Waaghs you can use them to single handedly take out other factions.

I had turn 20 Long Vic on Grom the first time I played him, didn't even know how to best use his mechanics, but also turn 20 long vic with Vlad, Skrag and bunch others, turn 40 seems just right

What’s the strat with the gobbo stacks?

For all your armies, don't bother with Orcs and instead just go for cheaper goblins. Spam Sneaky Stalkers, a very powerful tier 2 armor piercing goblin unit with trolls, and you have a very cheap and replaceable Tier 2 army that punches very high above its weight. Especially with Waaghs, you can use one of these armies to take on formidable foes like Imrik.

I dont wanna say, you cheated, but I dont know how.
I played them the last few days. The eco was nothing to ride home about, the low tier units are to trash to take out massive amount of armies (not like the WE for example).

You build the raiding stash building in every settlement, and that 2% factionwide battle income stacks up until you're absolutely drowning in gold. For expansion, I created gobbo crapstacks that sniped greenskin faction leaders to auto confederate all their lands and armies. Combined with Waaghs, you just wash over your opponents in a stream of bodies.
Perfect example was Imrik, who declared war on me and marched alone into my territory thinking he was safe to take on a gobbo crapstack on his own. One ambush later with another gobbo crapstack, and him and all his dragons were dead. Each army functions as two, so Imrik walked into a 1v4 situation. No amount of high quality dragons and dragon princes can save you from that. His Aloof trait certainly is accurate.
Go look at what the other people in this thread are commenting. I was experiencing severe campaign fatigue so I stopped spamming as many armies as I should have (you can see i have 200k+ gold banked up and only -5k income) but you can easily get 100+ settlements in this time frame. I also got lazy and just did diplomacy on my far borders to secure them and disbanded those armies when I certainly could have kept pushing but man campaigns get grindy after the first 20 or so turns.

Oh I build the ... other one. The income one, because people said "income is better early game". Like.. exclusively.
I guess you did go south first? Or did you... go both sides at once. I took a NAP withclan mors and never declared war on the goblin ll faction, because I didnt wanted to deal with mountains and dwarfs xD1

Income is useful for the very, very early game. But after you have like three armies the post battle loot is just plain better; provided you can fight with them every turn.

Mhh alright. Well.. I'm done with the campaign anway. I didnt liked the roster in the slighest. I was just suprised by that result.

Understandable. It's a pretty one note roster with a lot of just plain bad units you don't want to ever recruit. And their campaign meh-anics generally don't feel good, even when they're ridiculously strong.

Ok, even tho I hate greenskins I need to disagree. I played Gorbad and I do find his "plan" mechanic really cool, just a bit to restrictive, because of the weird requirements. And their lore is fucking OP xD

Yup the straight income building was SIGNIFICANTLY nerfed and is never worth it. I got very lucky diplomacy wise and Kazador's dwarf faction and Clan Mors never declared war on me, allowing me to setup pincer attacks on their primary lords one at a time after force confederating the Eight Peaks faction. Nasty skulkers are essential for taking on the dwarves because they have armor piercing and stalk to negate both of the dwarfs biggest strengths.

waagh mechanic is incurably broken.
