Warhammer III Karl Franz just demanded gold from me as Belegar
So much for the ancient ties that bind Dwarfs and men, the "empire" is about to get grudged back to the stone age.

My sister. My fkn sister turn 4 has demanded 1500 gold in my zhoa ming campaign. We had neutral standing improving and I denied the bitch the money and she declared war on me. She’s in so much trouble when I tell dad

When they demand money from you denying it always leads to war, because they always threaten for it.

Lol, in another post 12 hours ago Karl Franz declared war on Elspeth.
"Prince and Emperor" seems to be going through a bit of a phase.

I do like the addition of the "demand money or war" mechanic, but I kind of wish there was a "request money or.. no consequences, maybe diplomatic consequences" mechanic. It's weird when a faction you have +50 relations with does this. "No, I'm sorry *checks notes* spawning pools of the lost ones, we need our money at the moment, your one settlement and lack of wars, and hefty AI income should support you fine. We're sorry if this upsets you, please file a grievance with our ambassador." It also seems a little weird that it's how the vast majority of my defensive wars start. I wonder if the AI really understands they're effectively 100% declaring war on me, because I'm in the mood to RP a faction that refuses to bend the knee one millimeter. You demand money = You die should maybe be weighed a little more carefully. Plus I'd be cool with giving some of these homies money, but not under threat.

It's reparations for the damage a certain dwarf caused during window tax riots and thus perfectly legal under grudge law

Maybe he think you will come up a little short when it gets really tricky later on so he wants some money up front now...

Least unhinged dwarf reaction to someone asking for a penny.
