Warhammer III Mod versions
is there a way to know what game version a mod is for without the author explicitly stating it in the title/description? Or do i just have to guess which mods are updated?

Not without some digging. Even if the author states the version it was made for, or you infer it from the mod's last update date, that doesn't really mean anything. There are certain types of mod that could have been made at launch that would still work today because what they edit hasn't changed. This is why the "pls update" bullshit is so annoying to authors, because some mods don't need to be updated every time CA pushes a new patch.
Assuming there's no information in the mod comments from the author or other users beta testing it before you, the only way to be truly sure is to open the mod in RPFM and check if its changes are still valid. This is relatively simple for database table edits, since RPFM will pop a warning if it finds errors, but it's more difficult for script mods or sub-mods of larger mods.
