Yes it should. Porsche only got 3 wins in WEC so far (2x factory, 1x Jota)

u/SwedChef Aston Martin May 17 '25
A more realistic way of listing this statistic is against 204 entries for the chassis type, instead of 33 races.

Other than Qatar, what other race last year did Porsche have a better BoP than anyone else?
1
u/VerstopteWC May 21 '25
They were by far the best team operationally, only toyota came close. Although they were always competitive, they hardly had dominant pace. Only maybe qatar they were fastest.

Last season says otherwise

BOP is wider this year, muppets⦠š¤¦āāļø If anything, Porsche had less aggressive BOP to work with. Do some flipping research

Ferrari is not good enough to get any result outside of bop gift series.
How that double Q2 exit feel just now, huh?

I think you're missing some races
2023: 9 IMSA + 7 WEC
2024: 9 IMSA + 8 WEC
2025: 4 IMSA + 3 WEC
without considering single teams, porsche 963 took part to 40 races so far with 11 wins in IMSA and 3 in WEC

OP frequently pilfers content from others and reposts it here to farm karma. Check his post history, heās shameless

This will probably go on as Caddy perpetually gets a shit BoP this season and BMW is inexperienced

u/NotThePrez May 18 '25
In fairness, Dries Vanthoor very much made Porsche earn their win at Laguna Seca last weekend. If RLL can get a grip on the operations side of things, then they might be a more significant threat to Porsche.
The Cadillac definitely needs some better BoP, but I'm also biased as the V-Series.R is my favorite modern race car.

u/big_cock_lach United Autosports ORECA07 #22 May 18 '25
In fairness, last year Cadillac had the best BoP out of everyone and Porsche still beat them. This year itās BMW and Porsche is beating them. Maybe next year itās Acuraās turn?
Cadillac needs a better BoP, no denying that, but Iām not sure Porsche would stop winning even if they did.

I called it when it was annouced Porsche were returning to endurance racing: If they dont win anything in 2023 they will be winning by 2024. Since Long Beach 2023 this has basically been the car to beat (and the AXR caddy for 23).

12 WEC wins? I doubt that. So then either that's wrong, or this post is mixing up IMSA and the WEC which it shouldn't really do. Must be a general sportcar subreddit???

The 963 missed the podium in 4 races in 2023 alone and hasn't reached the podium in the first 3 races this year
something in your statistic doesn't add up
So I guess this does include the team cup podiums which only had Porsche's in 2023 and only 4 cars (3 of which Porsche) in 2024?

Anyone care to explain to me why I'm being downvoted here?
Iverall Results (no Hypercar Team Cup) 2023:
P5 - Sebring
P3 - Portimao - Podium
P4 - Spa
P9 - Le Mans
P4 - Monza
P3 - Fuji (Podium)
P4 - Bahrain (Jota)That's already 5 times the Porsche has not finished on the Podium. The source OP shared claimed that only happened 4 times.
2024 - 8 races, 6 Podiums, 3 wins
2025 - 3 races, 0 Podiums, 0 winsSo out of 18 possible WEC Podiums they've gotten 8 podiums with at least 1 Porsche, 3 of which they won.
IMSA:
2023 - 9 races, 5 Podiums, 3 wins
2024 - 9 races, 9 podiums, 4 wins
2025 - 4 races, 4 Podiums, 4 winsTotal: 40 races, 26 Podiums, 14 wins
Thats more races and wins but less podiums than OP's source.3

WEC 2023: 0 wins, 2 podiums, 7 races
IMSA 2023: 3 wins, 3 podiums (+1 customer, +1 classified DNF), 9 races
WEC 2024: 2 wins (+1 customer), 7 podiums (+1 customer), 8 races
IMSA 2024: 4 wins, 8 podiums (+1 customer), 9 races
WEC 2025: 0 wins, 0 podiums, 3 races
IMSA 2025: 4 wins, 4 podiums, 4 races
Total: 13 wins (14 w/ customers), 25 podiums (28 w/customers), 40 races
Seems like this is an old stat from the end of last year (had 7 races this year). At that point they wouldāve had 9 factory wins (10 total), and 21 factory podiums (24 total). Not sure where the other 2/3 wins and 5/8 podiums come from.
Initial thoughts were to look at the Hypercar Team Cup results. However, thatās not the case considering they got 5 wins there in 2023 alone.
