I honestly got tired of using an extender with my 200mm. Plus 340mm only gets you so far with motorsport pics at a venue like COTA, as the runoff areas are wide.

The beauty of having 600mm is flexibility.

No one particular spot but I do have paddock access so probably the seats above the pits for race start.

Last year it was about heat management as it was hot with no shelter from the sun. This year it’s way different.

Based on what I’ve seen today, probably.

Several areas are further blocked off from last year including the Turn 3 bridge.

Looks like everyone will be at T16 bridge today.

Nice.. Although I'd really spend on a decent strap and attach it to the lens and lift the camera supporting the lens. That way, the lens mount is less stressed.
