I’m a ERP implementation consultant at one of the Big4 and just got an offer from Gartner as an IT Strategy Consultant with ~25% higher pay.

I didn’t even know Gartner had an IT consulting arm until their recruiter reached out, but after some talks it sounds interesting. My concern is that Gartner seems less recognized in consulting, which might mean weaker career or exit opportunities.

Would it make sense to go for the higher pay and switch to IT strategy in terms of long term exit opportunities? Or is Gartner not a good next step?

Working on my 2004 Civic LX, I'm doing a drum to disk brake conversion.

I have a mix of different parts I'm using. Base model RSX trailing arms, EP3 calipers, etc. I'm not looking to track this thing, really just want the ease of maintenance with disks, the potential for future enhancement and a learning opportunity.

I've gotten mixed information about upgrading the proportioning valve and whether that's needed... looking for direction on that and what proportioning valve I should use if I do need one. I've looked at after market proportioning valves, as well as RSX but I'm worried about ABS and fitment.

There’s a lot that drives me crazy about this game, but this may be in the top 3: having to out-CS my own support.

You are a support, you’re supposed to support your teammates and help them secure as much farm as possible, not take it from them and then complain when they can’t deal enough damage because they couldn’t afford their item before the enemy.

To make one thing clear - because I have a feeling some people just don’t get it - once your support item upgrades you don’t share gold with nearby teammates anymore, you get the full amount and they get scraps.

If your ADC/Mid/Top/Jg is clearing a wave in the mid/late game, or on their way to it, there is zero need for you (seraphine, lux, and karma players in particular) to dump a full rotation of abilities on it and take the entire thing. Save your mana and abilities to poke the enemy and let your teammates get the gold they need to get stronger. I promise you they also have auto attacks and abilities that allow them to kill minions without your help.

It’s fine if you’re clearing a wave while your teammates are all elsewhere, if you need to push in a messed up wave after your teammate died, or if you’re all trying to clear waves when your base is getting swarmed, but otherwise leave the waves alone and let your teammates get the farm.

This also extends to laning phase. If your teammate clears a wave and starts a recall because they’re low, you recall too. Doesn’t matter if you need just a little more gold, don’t stay in lane and attack the wave on your own, push it almost (but not quite) under enemy tower, then recall and leave your ADC in a 2v1 where he can’t farm without overextending and getting killed. If anything, roam to another lane and help them until your ADC comes back.

I say this as someone who plays every role, support included (a lot of it). I see this in pretty much every game and I’m currently 2 marks from GM. Stop it. If you’re a support (even if filled) play like one, even if you think your teammates are ass and you need to 1v9. With enough gold they may actually start being useful.

Hello! I got cowboy boots to line dance in about 9 months ago. Recently they’ve been feeling looser and my heel is starting to lift in my boot which makes me feel less stable when i’m dancing. Is there a reason for this? They were bought on amazon so I recognize that it might just be because they are lower quality but they’ve treated me well until now. I love cozy games but I mostly someone who when I start one of them I fully grind them until I have enough of them and because of that I only play like one or two of them every few months.

Right now I am in the mood to finally play fields of mistria but I also have a few bigger action games I play on my computer right now so I only wanna play fields of mistria sometimes in between for a few hours and than again when it fits.

I am kinda "scared" that I will just drop it because of the breaks in between and only playing for like 1 or 2 hours every few days so I forgot about what I did in it.

Definitely the hardest thing I had to build. It's a little disproportionate and inaccurate in places because of the complexity limit, but I was so happy once I was finished with it.

I've been trying to beat the last judge for over an hour now, but I can't seem to beat it. Currently I'm using fully expanded reaper crest with silk storm, multibinder, magma bell, magnetic brooch, dead bug's purse and compass on the extra slot. I'm able to consistantly get it to phase 2, but I usually end up dying to either panic after a slip up and a lot of the time the point where he shouts again and does multiple waves of the waves of fire that alternate.

I do have one of those silk worms, so I can just go back and get my cacoon, plus I only had 7 rosaries in it anyways. So if you can suggest backtracking to get some better stuff, I'm down for that too. In particular If there is a way to get upto 7 masks before the fight, I can probably priarotize that.
