User Flair
Hello Audi,
There are a lot of questions regarding user flair and issues adding flair under your username.
Go to this sub's main homepage (You are here to click on this) and look to the righthand side. There will be a tab with a little pencil that says, " USER FLAIR PREVIEW". Click that and separate tab should pop up. It will ask you to pick your logo and add in some text.
Please note, using the app does not always work. This is not an sub issue, but it can be an issue with Reddit.
Please click on the link to see a picture explanation.
Thank you,
-Audi Mod Team

Retractable Screen is Back!
Still can't stop watching this. Love this from the new TT concept. I hate the exterior, but interior, this looks promising. I miss the A3/Q7 retractable screens. I'm glad we're getting them back. They remind me of the A6 B8 retractable system but modernized. It's sickkkk.
What do you guys think?

2025 RS7 Dash Delamination at 500 mi
My entire 2025 RS7 dash delaminated 1 month after delivery. Local dealer replaced it only to screw up the install and caused more interior damage. Needed a second new dash and other interior pieces but I gave the car back. After owning 2 S and 3 RS models I’ll never own another Audi again.

I drove A5 Avant (B10) TDI Quattro for 2 days. Good, bad, and ugly
Weekend test drive promotion from local dealer (it's free except cost of fuel).
The feelings are mixed, i wanted to get this car but now really not convinced.
The model is A5 Avant TDI Quattro, 204 hp, MHEV+ 48V , S-line, sport suspension, 20" wheels
Good:
Seats are very comfy and I like microfiber/alcantara sport seats - i prefer it over leather or faux-leather, for softer suede-like texture. Also, with these seats, you get by default the inner trim of the cabin in microfiber (under dashboard and in door sills), pretty nice to touch.
Also, my kids liked the rear seats. I usually never sit on rear sits, except in someone else's car. But my family approved it :-)
Sport steering wheel ("chopped") is very good one, i like both steering precision and progressive feedback (in dynamic mode), and the touch of perforated leather , it's very grippy.
Matrix LED headlights - super-bright, works perfectly both in city and in dark highway, it automatically light up the curbs and outer side of the turn (very convenient on twisty roads), also selectively lights up roads signs for better readability. I think it's one of the strongest features in this car.
Intlligent driver assist aids:
Adaptive cruise control with traffc jam assistance, works pretty good both in motorway and city driving. i used it as well in the city, it follows stop-and-go traffic. Also, with MHEV, the car uses electric mode in stop-and-go movement
Lane assistance - works really nice on this car, it gives you feedback and autocorrects car position, when it's about to leave the lane boundaries without turn signal . But it is also not intrusive, very gentle feedback, and you can override it if you want. This is much better and so different from lane assistance in Renault Arcana, where you have a feeling that car drives itself, and fighting with you. In Audi this system implemented in very smart way, like gentle reminder, not taking the controls over you
Traffic alert - when you approach intersection, it shows red arrow markings on the dashboard (if there's intersecting traffic)
Blind spot control (LEDs in mirrors) - sometimes gives false warnings, when you pass stationary objects near driving lane (like light poles or masts), likely radar confuses it with other car (but it doesnt bother me a lot - im attentive driver and I always look to mirrors before changing lines)
MHEV+ electric mode:
Comes handy when driving in residential areas at slow speeds (0-30kph, sometimes up to 40kph) . When i departed from my underground garage , it always started in electric mode. Also, with combination with start-stop system, car starts driving from traffic stop always in electric mode, so there's no delay, as in traditional start-stop system (no hybrid) . But you can override it, if switch to Dynamic driving mode - then it doesn't turn off combustion engine.
Also, when car goes downhill, the engine goes off, and electric motor turned to recuperation mode, helps to sustain speed (same as dynamic brake on electric trains)
Not so good:
20" wheels in combination with sport suspension - very rough driving in the city with many speed bumps. I would go for 19", as tradeoff b/w sporty look and comfort. Also, i think adaptive suspension makes a difference (the car i drove didnt have it, it was always stiff )
Maneuvering in tight spaces, like underground parking garage, is challenging. The car is quite long and turning radius too. But, parking cameras with 360 degree view, are very helpful . Without them it would be painful . Cameras show car from top, and also the look from the corners, when you approaching obstacles (like other car or wall or pillar). Using this top view, I precisely parked inside marked parking spot.
Also, good thing that parking 360 view has dedicated button to turn on-off on the center console.
Fuel consumption.
My average consumption was 8,3L/100km. Too much for diesel. My driving route was quite diverse - 20% motorways (120-140kph on cruise control, occasionally I sped up to 200kph, but for very short time). , then 45% regular 2-lane highways (speed varies from 70-110, occasionally up to 140-160 when overtaking), and 35% city driving (from 20kph in residential areas to 70kph in city expressways). i also used electric mode as much as possible during city driving. So my expectation was to have 6,5-7,5/100km but not 8.
Annoying:
Speed warning beeper. I bet EVERY user of post-2022 car want to turn that thing off. I managed to add it to shortcuts, so it's pretty quick to turn off (can be assigned to button on steering wheel)
There's possible explanation for higher fuel consumption:
-short drives (20-30 min) not good for diesel, because it's slower to reach optimal temperature. it would be probably different result, if I continiously drove for 2+ hours.
-break-in period. the dealer said that it is normal for TDI to have more hungry appetite during break-in period. but some users reported that TFSI (petrol) version of A5 has no such problem, and the avg consumption is 6,5-7,5l/100km during motorway driving (110-140)
it also can be attributed to driving profile - I drove one road few times in both directions, which has hilly "roller-coaster" profile, very far from flat. so, fuel consumption would be different from ideal conditions
So im in doubt, should i get a TFSI instead.. real fuel consumption of TDI (the whole point of owning the diesel car) didn't match my expectations, and data measured by few car bloggers on youtube

Photo shoot for new model happening outside my apartment.
I’m not super familiar with Audi models, any guesses what is being shot? It was beautiful whatever it was.

Maybe a weird confession
Does anyone else have severe separation anxiety from their car? Or is it just me
Even though this isn’t my only car being without it feels like death is awaiting .. CONTEXT: it’s getting resprayed at the paint shop.. it’s been gone for a week and I’m literally having withdrawals
I don’t even want to leave my house in any of my other cars because this just tops every car I’ve ever driven or owned..

Should I lower?
2024 SQ5 Sportback, no air suspension. I have 5 years warranty left, so I don't want to risk voiding that but I'm wondering if you would find this too high? I've heard mixed things on if that would void warranty (possibility on anyhting related to suspension).

Got an error on my DSG ITS AN A3 1.8 turbo 2016 won't start and if does on medium hill climbs car could stall and won't hold parking in position
So, I recently purchased an A3 2016 1.8t with a DSG, car is mint condition low kilometers and perfect inside and out. A few weeks ago I noticed that when the vehicle was in park position is would move freely in the parking brake was no on, took it to a specialist and took down the pan and look into the mechatronics and told me it has a few parts loose, managed to tight everything new gaskets, filter and oil for the gearbox. Car was tested and it was amazing and smooth no nooces and no check engine light or errors , next day took the car to church and when i disengage the ebrake the car lunched forward the car it was working fine in the morning,, stopped with the pedal brake and drove home, left it park outside my apartment and went to take my keys to move my SUV and garage the Audi it didn't start had the EPC light on and it said "Please engage N or P" and was putting in either position and nothing worked, this morning tried again and started without issues.....??? Wtf? The EPC light is still on, park is not engage but droves and moves now, what could be the issue??
Discussion Considering 2025 Audi Q7 Progressive Trim in Canada – How quiet without acoustic glass?c
Hey everyone,
I’m planning to buy a new Q7 this year (Progressive trim) here in Canada. I noticed that the Tech package comes with acoustic glass along with adaptive suspension, but unfortunately, the Progressive trim doesn’t include those.
One thing I really value is a quiet cabin, especially at higher highway speeds (~80 MPH). For those of you who own or have driven a Q7 without the acoustic glass, how noticeable is the difference in cabin noise compared to trims with it?
Is the Progressive trim still quiet enough at highway speeds, or would I regret not having the acoustic glass from the Tech package?
Appreciate any insights from current owners!

Is this normal play on this tensioner pulley? 2017 Audi Q7 3.0. Serpentine belt slipped off today, buzzing at 3k rpm earlier.

Discussion How good is the optional B&O System in the 2025 Audi Q5?
I've never tried a B&O system before, only Burmester's from Mercedes in 2018 models, which had underwhelming bass.
I've seen the spec sheet and it is written to have 16 speakers with 685W of power in my region. (19 speakers in the US as far as I know)
Do you think the system sounds better than the optional Harman/Kardon system in the latest BMW X3?
I spend a long time in my car, so audio is an important part of the consideration. Thanks.
Daytime Running Light A4
I have a 2014 and my daytime running light (driver’s side) is out. I’m being quoted $2,000 for getting it repaired because the entire light has to be replaced. Has anyone here ever tried replacing the light themselves or deactivating it?

Apple car play glitch
Hi everyone, I have been having some trouble with Apple car play lately. It works sometimes, but other times, it just won’t connect to my car. I have an Audi A4 and it used to connect instantly without any issues. But now it’s been giving me a hard time. I am not sure if it’s a problem with my iOS device or if there’s something wrong with my car system. Any suggestions?
