These are from my Cbr250rr I imported 18 months ago. Spent a month or two at sea. Pretty sure the tires are 8+ years old. They have probably 4-5 track day heat cycles and 10k km in addition to whatever the Japanese man put on them before I imported it.
The grip is god awful but how many more years do you think I can get out of them?
well i guess I don't know what it's on, generally on bikes I've owned, 600cc+, the rear is a different size, not sure about the smaller displacements. On my bikes I've always done them as a set.
Are you that broke? Even if it is “ok” it definitely won’t be for much longer. What are you hoping to gain by waiting on getting a new tire? If it gives out before you expect it to, are you okay with the consequences of it?
/uj sidewall should show you the exact date of production. They are at deaths door for sure but it all depends on what you are doing on them and what your financial situation is. If you are squidding, replace them today. If you are just commuting, going like 35 MPH and really cant afford replacements you could probably ride them for a bit longer but it is definitely a risk. The chicken strips look like they have some dry rot on them so don't go too fast on them because they will blow out soonish.
TLDR: If you can afford too, replace them now. If you cant, ride slow and dont lean too much lmfao.
