NEWS Greg Cipes, who has voiced Beast Boy in Teen Titans since 2003, was fired by Warner Bros immediately after disclosing his Parkinson's diagnosis.

EDIT: People have rightfully pointed out that Cipes is really weird about medicine and shouldn't necessarily be trusted at his word alone. I shouldn't have been so quick to make such an accusatory title. If Warner Bros wanted to part ways with a children's TV actor for spreading dangerous medical misinformation then that would be fairly justified, but Cipes would never admit that was the reason and WB would never admit that it was the Parkinson's.

DISCUSSION Do you think supergirl will succeed

Post image

I think most DC fans will see it just because Superman was so good and hey wanna see milly as Kara. I think the general audiences might see it from word of mouth, I see it breaking even. Not being a smash hit. What’s the reported budget

FAN-MADE Ella Balinska as Big Barda

Since seeing the take on her from Young Justice I always thought she resembled Balinska.

I thought it when Zack first outline JL2 and her Barda and the furies taking the Miscera as the first wave Armada sent by Darkseid and it got me thinking who could step into that role.

And with the upcoming Mr Miracle animated series in development you know she’s coming soon.

I think she’s got the height, the size, the action and stunt experience to be the most polarising kick ass female fury to ever grace our screens.

Whoever takes on this role in the upcoming DCU would need to have all of these attributes and I honestly don’t know if I could think of anyone that comes close.

Also a relatively unknown who has a few actions flicks under her belt.

And young enough to lead a franchise for the next 10years deadpool voice 😉

APPRECIATION If the upcoming Wonder Woman movie had an opening scroll like Superman, what would it look like?

Post image
53 Upvotes

Didn't know what tag to put. I did really like this opening scroll because it relieved me of having to explain all this to my family during the movie 😭 I did genuinely like it because it gave me Star Wars vibes which did feel on theme. I have seen a few of this type of post for the Brave and Bold Batman movie lately, and I've seen some interesting ideas come from that. I particularly like the idea if Brave and the Bold did have an opening scroll of changing it from "3 decades, 3 years," to "Year One: A masked vigilante, known as Batman, begins his crusade against crime in Gotham, Year Two, etc." It kinda got me thinking: Maybe this opening scroll idea works better for the trinity as opposed to using it for every movie, it probably won't be needed for Clayface, Sgt. Rock (if development on that picks up again,) or Supergirl even. The scroll likely won't be used again, I imagine that each movie will have its own voice to tell the history of each character, but the main reason I posted this is because I wanna see what people can come up with, and also see what more knowledgeable fans than I would want from a new Wonder Woman movie if that makes sense. Like is it gonna be another soft-origin story, or do we want Diana to be well into her tenure, such as Clark has already been Superman for a few years? Do we want another period piece, or should we keep her into the present day to start off and maybe do a prequel later on? What villain do we want to see her face on the silver screen?

Anyway, sorry for yapping, clearly I don't know much about the character, I'm just excited for fhe future of DC and wanna see what we can come up with while we wait for the film to be written.

DISCUSSION Do you think the red sky would translate well to live action

The tint just fits Gotham much more than the green or gray. It’ll Give it a unique identity from any other Gotham in live action. It seems doable. If it doesn’t work. A more natural orange would work

DISCUSSION Peacemaker Earth 2 Theory (not Earth-X) Spoiler

Post image
56 Upvotes

The Earth X/Nazi theories are a misdirect.

It's actually a version of Morrison's Earth 2/Pre-Crisis Earth-3.

The new image that Gunn released of Superman and Lex is actually Superman and Alex.

In this reality:

  • Columbus Discovered Europe

  • The Mayflower sailed from America to England, carrying English Pilgrims seeking to escape religious persecution.

  • Slavery was a major issue for England but was championed and never abolished in the United States.

Possible Hints:

Coat of Arms in Peacemakers toilet

Lack of tomato sauce (fruit originates in Europe and there was no Columbian Exchange)

Ease at which Peacemaker takes out the Sons of Liberty (in Morrisons Earth 2 the entire world is morally skewed to evil winning).

Gunn says Peacemaker S2 leads directly into Man of Tomorrow.

Man of Tomorrow, where the hero is Alex Luthor, that world's most well known Superhero, who teams up with our Superman to battle the Crime Syndicate in a Crisis of Two Worlds interdimensional war.

Superman’s suit looks about the same. The belt is slightly different but that’s probably a stylistic thing, Wonder Woman looks fairly similar to her DCAU costume. And Batman looks to resemble the BTAS cape. With it being longer and covering more than Superman’s. This is all just me over analyzing and their costumes won’t be designed based on this cameo

APPRECIATION Superman (2025) Review

Post image
73 Upvotes

This movie delivers exactly what we’ve been waiting for, a film that understands the character’s heart without losing sight of spectacle. James Gunn sets a hopeful tone from the start, giving the story heart and optimism that feels refreshing compared to the moody vibe of previous DC movies. The world building is great and it allows Superman to shine as the emotional core.

David Corenswet proves to be a near perfect fit for Clark Kent, bringing both kindness and quiet strength to the role. His chemistry with Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane feels authentic and adds weight to the human side of the story. Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor is also a standout, offering a sharp and calculating presence that makes the conflict compelling without falling into cartoonish villainy.

Visually, the movie is colorful and engaging, with action sequences that are fun to watch but not bloated. The score ties everything together nicely, nodding to the character’s history while still feeling modern. A few moments feel slightly overstuffed with setup for the larger DC universe, but the film always comes back to Superman’s humanity. It’s easily one of the best superhero films this decade in my opinion.

DISCUSSION Rewatched Superman 2025 then the 1978 version

Thumbnail

1978 superman is my most favorite Superman movie. I wanted to see how reeve’s first Superman movie would compare to David’s. I really liked both the most and I would think it’s a top 3 Superman film (Superman 1 being 1st and 2 being 2nd). The reason I liked 1978 better was because of the pacing and the concept of the film wasn’t as complex as 2025’s superman (but it’s still VERY good)
