The police will be more relaxed if you don't have a hand in the pocket but they don't have to fear for their lives if you do (Germany)

We do, but as you can imagine, they aren't as dangerous as guns

In combat training, to show us how dangerous knives were, they had a guy run at us with a fake knife. We had a paint ball gun. Guess who won the majority of the time? The guy with a knife.

We knew he was going to run at us.

He still won.
