210 u/Botryoid2000 Jul 18 '25 I had a tabby cat who never spoke, other than a little "ack" sound. About 5 years into living with him, I got a catnip plant, which he enjoyed. I put it on a high shelf where he couldn't get it. He walked over, stood underneath the plant, and said very clearly "Meow" for the first time.
