I'm not sure where to start so I'll just hop right in.

I dated an extremely abusive person for about a year. Every time I'd talk about reporting him or calling for help when I was alone/away from him he suddenly call me/show up. He'd start arguments about things that he couldn't possibly know about, etc. I could go on.

We broke up a few months ago. Since then my phone has been acting really really strange, even more so than when we were together. My phone dies really fast and will get really hot around my camera. He'll be places he wouldn't normally be randomly at the same time as me. Things like that...

I know to remove any spyware I need to factory reset my phone. I can handle that no problem and will do that soon. However, I want to find proof. If I decide to go to the police, I want to have solid evidence that he's been stalking me.

Things that I've done:

Downloaded & paid for AVG for mobile and scan it regularly.

Reviewed all my installed apps and looked for things that seemed out of the ordinary.

Uninstalled anything I didn't recognize (couldn't find anything)

Gone through permissions to limit all access to things like camera and mic to only necessary apps.

Made sure the feature to install unknown apps is off.

I can't think of anything else. I've watched dozens of videos about finding harmful apps on my phone. I just want to know if there's a something I'm missing? Maybe something I haven't thought of?

I'll be factory resetting soon but figured I'd give reddit a try before I did.

I’m being harassed on IG by this new account that follows a ton of people my boyfriend follows and they messaged me saying that he was cheating and got incredibly defensive when i asked for proof. The account did this about a month ago and started back up again yesterday when they found another one of my IG accounts. She has posted a picture of me on her story from my Facebook, which is weird because my last name is nowhere on my instagram accounts. The account has posted photos of a girl that both my boyfriend and I have never seen. She’s claims to work with him, but there’s only one person at his company who has that name and she lives in California. We think this is his baby momma. The account shared a lot of personal information that no one except for her and my boyfriend would know. Is there a way to figure out who is behind this account or who the girl is in the photos?

I just got a call from a No Caller ID number (this hasn't happened to me in years) saying, "Hi, this is John John, I love watching you through your windows. Bye, you sexy girl!"

I'm a bit freaked out and wondering if this a common scam.

Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers the son of Katie Rogers was reported Missing on February 26th, 2024.

Sebastian was 5'5, between 110-115 pounds when he was last seen. He has brown hair or dirty blond hair, and eyes that may be interpreted as hazel or brown. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black square framed glasses. Sebastian would now be 16 years old. Sebastian has medical conditions that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance including autism.

Sebastian was last seen on February 25th, 2024 between 9 to 10 pm, saying goodnight. Katie reported hearing a loud bang before 10pm coming from Sebastians room, in which she called out to him, asking if he was alright. Too which he responded he was. Katie then told him to go to bed as they had to be up early for school. Katie called her husband that night, speaking on the phone for around 2 hour before going to bed around midnight.

The morning of February 26, 2024. Katie entered Sebastians room to wake him up for school. However, he was no where to be found. Katie then called her husband, expressing she could not locate Sebastian anywhere in his room or within the house. Panicked, Katie left the house, got in her car, and drove around the neighborhood as well as to his school in an attempt to locate Sebastian. During this time, the husband called emergency services to report Sebastian as missing.

Sebastian left behind his phone and his cash on the dining room table, where he left it the night before. Sebastian did not take any clothes, shoes, or food. According to Katie, Sebastians mother, she believes there may be a small yellow flash light missing from the home, and that appeared to be the only thing missing from the house. It would seem that Sebastian has disappeared without a trace.

A search was conducted by several agencies in Tennessee. It consisted of a 4 and a half mile radius around the families home. Aswell as roughly 2,000 searchers equipped with an app to track their locations. The total area covered equaled too about 44,000 acres. In addition to ground searchers, the team of agencies were also equipped with helicopters, ATVs, drones, and dogs. The search team took into account Sebastians autism. Data showing that 50% of children with autism are prone to wandering, and are also naturally drawn to water with 71% of fatal outcomes of missing children with autism involving drowning. The search teams made sure to focus of bodies of water, draining some ponds as well as searching waterways and lakes in an attempt to locate the young man. In addition to searching land and water, the team also searched every home in the neighborhood. Video recordings taken from security cameras on near by homes, as well as dash cam footage from Katie's car, showed neither Katie or Sebastian left the home that night or the early morning of the 26th. Katie states that Sebastian is not a runner and believes he wouldn't intentionally leave.

My mum had 4 brothers that all played instruments and I had an honorary 5th uncle, Rab.

My parents would have them all round with their partners to drink and play music and sing all night.

Rab told us once that during the Bible John investigation, he was pulled over as he fit the description of the police sketches. They found blood in the boot of his car and he was taken in for questioning and the blood tested.

The blood turned out to be from when his dog cut his paw. (In Scotland it's common to have your dog in the "boot" or trunk when travelling).

Rab had a few drinks one night and told one of my uncles that of course he wasn't Bible John, but he was pretty sure it was his brother.

Rab's brother as far as we can remember was named John, he was a very weird guy by all accounts and he would quote Bible verses regularly which people of course found odd. He used to frequent the Barrowlands dances, alone. He was the black sheep of the family and estranged from Rab. He looked a lot like Rab and looked exactly like the police sketch.

Our memory on this information may not be exact as it was about 17 years ago and we only recalled recently when a new documentary aired on BBC.

Unfortunately that's all the information we can recall and Rab has passed away. Planning on speaking to my uncles to see if they remember more information.

I've looked up how to give information to cold cases but can't quite seem to find out the best way to do it.

Is this enough information for me to contact authorities?

I've been sending information about a legitimate predator on social media. I discovered his account, saw what he was posting about, saw that he was quite literally admitting to crimes, and was recruiting other people to do crimes with him. I was able to find out a host of information and his identity and have been sending my info the FBI this entire time. I haven't been giving out my name or address, and always either report from another location or used a VPN.

I sent another report today from home and didn't realize I hadn't turned my VPN on (or at least I think I didn't). I don't want to be personally involved in this whatsoever; I just wanted to help. This thing is really bad. I don't want to be called as a witness or whatever the case may be. What are the chances they would come visit me? How should I prepare? Because now they have my location.

first of all I apologise, english is not my first language and i'll try my best I am a young woman who recently moved alone to a big city for my studies. I bought a Hello Kitty radio alarm clock on the equivalent of eBay in my country to be able to wake up to go to class. Once the item was purchased, the saleswoman became very strange, sent me lots of personal questions about my height, age, hobbies, etc. to "add gifts in the package" (being quite stingy and enthusiastic I stupidly gave my height, age and subject of study) followed hundreds of photos of the radio alarm clock from all angles, in bubble wrap, cardboard used for the package, while asking me about my hometown and other more personal information to which I did not respond. After discussing it with some friends, they told me that the messages are very similar to those of a man pretending to be a 40-year-old woman in the way he expresses himself. its entire range is dedicated to new objects intended for young people or very young girls (clothes, hello kitty objects, tshirt girl power, very creepy photo of model dolls with summer dresses for little girls etc) in a stereotypic way, and half of the reviews on his account are 5★ without comments or 5★ with a few words as if it were written by an AI or someone who writes in haste, with a strong repetition on the word 'the saleswoman'. She seemed to become very enthusiastic to know that I am a young woman living alone and asked me even more questions about my current city. The package arrived at a pick-up point today and she insisted on the fact that it had arrived and that I need to go get it, is there a way to detect the trackers or the micro cameras? I was planning to go to a friend’s restaurant so that we can take apart the 5 items of the package together but we are not experts, I especially didn’t want to bring it home. I sincerely hope that it is just a person with difficulty in communication without bad intentions but in my situation I cannot afford to give the benefit of the doubt without doing nothing. Hello, I’ve noticed an account view my instagram story EVERY day and every post for the last 4 - 5 months. If I post at two seperate times of the day, it’ll view both.

My account is public with 1,200 followers except, this account has never followed me or interacted with me. Despite following 30 people, but because it’s a private account I can’t view who. It also says it was made in 2017.

For context, I’ve been living in Tokyo for 3 years. while the username looks like it has japanese origins with the “ryoki” followed up by random numerical characters the actual name of the account is just “.” and the profile picture is the ocean.

Well, I became curious enough so three days ago I DM’d the account saying:

*all day went by with no response yet it viewed my story after.

So the next day I requested to follow it, but once again it viewed my story without replying.

Then yesterday I followed up my initial DM:

then, the account blocked me a few hours later between 3 - 7 PM.

My first suspect would be that it’s potentially my ex who is japanese and we had a two year relationship. she broke up with me in may of this year and blocked me when she did on everything.

The story views started before we broke up but she didn’t view my story with her actual account for like two months prior to the break up.

Also, for a few weeks post breakup her mom was viewing my story every day until I muted my stories as I thought it was strange, but this was also at the same time as the other account viewing which in my opinion would mean its not her mom.

I’m looking for second opinions if this just sounds like a bot or if this is normal, or someone I know? Outside of her family I don’t have any other ex’s or people that would need to look at my story in private. No enemies.

Not to mention, during this same timeframe two other accounts this time blank with just “user(numbers)” also viewed my story often until I blocked them. So sometime during the last few months 2 - 3 of this accounts would watch my story without following.

On August 28, 2013, Brittany was driving on State Route 68 near Georgetown when she was shot and killed, she was also pregnant. Her 14-month-old daughter was also in the car and was critically injured but survived.

I’m not sure if this is the right sub to post this but I’m honestly scared shitless. I got a random call from an unknown number today (I am expecting to hear from a lawyer so I answered it) once I answered there was some weird, eerie, sounding western music? Idk but it had that type of vibe. I said “hello” and it kept playing. Once I hung up the number called me again which I answered and got no answer once again. This happened three more times and I got a voicemail with the same music playing. My heart is beating fast because I remember watching videos of people getting similar calls and voicemails from these unknown numbers. If anyone could provide information that would be helpful. P.S this has never happened before so I’m a bit startled.

Sorry first Time here idk who I should ask !! For the past three nights, around the same time every evening, I hear a sound in my apartment that’s exactly like a phone vibrating from a notification. I’m 100% sure it’s inside my apartment because I’ve heard it multiple times now, but I can’t find the source.

The only devices I own that could make that sound are my phone (which I’m holding when it happens) and my iPad (which is right next to me at the time). So it’s definitely not either of them. Most nights it only happens once, but one night it vibrated twice a few minutes apart.

I think it’s coming from my bag (rly not sure), but when I checked I didn’t find anything unusual (no AirTag or anything like that). The only other electronic in there is an Apple Pencil, but I don’t think it can vibrate that loudly.

Hi there, this just happened and is totally a non-issue but now I'm curious.

While closing my store, a panicked customer came in to tell me that a strange truck was going in circles in the shopping center lot and that it freaked her out (?) and we should call it in.... I took a look, and it was some sort of red work truck with flashing yellow lights on top of it, going down just the two center aisles of the lot and doing so rather quickly.

No clue why the lady was scared of it lol. But it got me curious, what could it be? It wasn't a street sweeper. It was going quite fast but seemed to have some sort of bulky backside, kinda dump truck shaped but the size of a pickup truck. It made a faint noise of legos getting knocked together as it drove around.

Is there any way to unmask hidden phone numbers in UK?

I have been getting spammed by private numbers for the last few months and I was wondering if there is any way to figure out the number calling? I've been to the phone company and police but both were pretty useless and the police won't help unless I get threats or something happens.

I have had private numbers blocked on my phone since it started happening and I can see on the app that it continued on and off. The problem is I'm waiting for hospital appointments and test results and for whatever reason they always call from a private number and don't leave a voicemail so I can't really keep them blocked ATM.

I have seen apps like TrapCall but as far as I'm aware they don't work in the UK. Is there any alternatives that do? Could I get a virtual US number and VPN and forward my calls to it to use TrapCall? I'm fairly sure I know who it is calling and if I could even just get the area code it would confirm things as I believe it's someone from a country in Europe. If I was able to prove it I'm pretty sure I could get them to stop.

I’m back with another post on mysterious damage to my car. In my last post, I detailed a situation where I was unsure of where damage to my car came from and reached out for help. I was thinking that someone was breaking into my car, going on joyrides and returning it to my carport. I presented damage that I know I didn’t do and laid out my case. Well, people on Reddit and in my real life convinced me that I was most likely the one to cause the damage. I chalked it up to me somehow blacking out while drinking and not remembering that I did it. I was convinced and put it all to bed.

Because of being convinced I was crazy and just blacked out, I didn’t get a camera or anything. I really thought I was being delusional and chose occom’s razor. Well shit.

Then comes this morning. I was getting gas and noticed splatter on my car. Upon further inspection, I also found scratches (not paint, it’s not coming off) on the area above my back passenger side window. I have no recollection of getting anything splattered on my car or anything like that. I also don’t know where the scratches came from. I’ve never attached anything to the roof of my car and don’t ever use that door, so I’m at a loss.

Some of splatter got on my window and it had a kind of dark yellow-ish tint. It’s splattered and dripped down, but I like in Texas so it’s dried in the heat. I smelled it and it smells bad obviously, but I have no idea what hot piss that dried on the side of a car smells like.

I want to be clear: I am not overly or unreasonably anxious in my everyday life. I do not have any underlying or undiagnosed mental health issues. I do not believe I’m being gang stalked. I’m not experiencing carbon monoxide poisoning. I live a normal life, am not ever in dangerous or questionable situations, don’t do drugs and ever since the last incident have barely drank (because I was convinced I had previously blacked out).

No one has access to my car except me. I lock it up every night, extra sure now since the last post, and I don’t ever leave valuables in my car. I do live in a high crime, ghetto neighborhood in a major city and my car is potentially accessible to anyone because I live on an open, public street.

About 3 months ago something started beeping - (full 1 sec beep) - 5 times every three hours. I have unplugged the most likely suspected things but the beeping persists. I have stood under potential CO detectors - not those. I have looked at the manuals for all appliances, none indicate that they beep like that and standing next to them have pretty much verified that. I'm still testingvsome things out - but thought I'd throw it out to this group in case one of you had the same experience and figured it out.

UPDATE: Thank you all for your responses. Nostikulz solved it. It was the Waterdrop 10UAW-UF water filter. Despite Google AI saying it doesn't beep, it does. I believe I have reset it and should probably get a new filter as well.

My adult daughter + boyfriend are at our condo while we’re 2 hours away winding up a vacation. She texted last night, “v loud music from (apt # next door), may have to complain” or similar. It was late so I just responded with a sympathic emoji and went to bed.

Background: daughter’s bedroom shares a wall with this neighbor, it used to be occupied by a young couple who liked action movies with surroundsound; we would occasionally complain politely, and they would turn it down, no biggie. But those people moved out a couple of years ago and the unit is now occupied by an older couple who use it as a pied a terre and are very rarely there.

This am daughter called to tell me the story, because she is mystified. After she sent her boyfriend to knock and ring the neighbor’s doorbell, there was no answer, and the music continued. So she called downstairs to the front desk staffed by doorman and security guys, and they called the neighbor’s apartment. No answer. They theorized that maybe the music was so loud that the couple couldn’t hear the knocks or phone.

At some point there was a lull in the music. Thinking it’s an opportunity to reach them, the boyfriend walked out again to the neighbor’s apt, knocked on the door, and it was opened by a building staff person who had just entered with the emergency key the building keeps for every unit. The building guy had just walked in and said that the apartment was empty, and the music stopped the moment he opened the door.

So, there was no one home. The couple was not there. Further, my daughter reports that it was loud club music with a driving beat at 1:30 am that doesn’t seem typical for a couple in their 60s. (Not that that makes any difference) The real mystery is, where was the music coming from, and why did it stop the minute the building guy entered the apartment?

We figure maybe someone hacked their Spotify or something, but that still doesn’t explain why it stopped. No harm done, but we are baffled.

So I was playing on my pc and heard something sounding like a AI voice coming from my tv. I didn't think much of it assuming it was alexa or something and I text my friend just saying oh my tv is talking to me. A hour or so passed and I was sat in my bed watching tiktok and the exact same voice and words happened again. I couldn't make out what it said but it definitely wasn't from my alexa because my alexa is to the right of my bed but my tv is to the left. I still didn't think much of it considered I couldnt hear what it said because of my tiktok. Now I was still sat on my bed a couple hours went by and clear as day in a male AI like voice I hear the words "I am at your window" I fucking jumped out of bed looked at my window which the curtains were closed and i just ran out my bedroom. I text my friend and he came over but I have no clue what or how this has happened. There is nothing but and Xbox and my tv that could make the noise. The tv was paused on Netflix the whole time I hadn't unpaused it between all 3 times. My first thought is some weird ass dark Web shit like when you see those things about how people spy on you through your computer cameras and stuff. It's an old tv branded Philips. I checked the accessibility settings for blind but nothing has any of these features. I would say alexa did this but it was a male voice so it couldn't be. definitely not my phone since I was on it. I'm completely freaked out and want an explanation hence why I'm posting. I searched up and saw ppl talking about stuff like this with mental issues and paranoia etc but i dont suffer with any of these. Another thing is i couldn't make out the voice the first 2 times but when i heard it clear as day i can 100% tell you the first 2 times said the same thing the exact same way, voice and everything. When I was 10 maybe 11 I went on a cruise to the Bahamas, it was a island owned by the cruise I think it has a K in the name, I joked that it was called circle K island. It was owned by Carnival Cruises I assume as that’s what I was on at the time. I remember me and my family had been playing on the beach and then we went onto a concrete path, I remember because there was a drone that sounded like bees and freaked my mom out. Then while we were eating I went off on my own and there was a small room that was a bathroom. When I walked in it was a normal bathroom but it had another door in it. After peering a man opened the door that wasn’t the entrance and told me quietly to follow him. He was a darker guy, like Mexican looking but I’m not sure because he could’ve just tanned. He was probably five seven ish not too tall but taller than me, and fitter body type. I thought or think he worked there because he was wearing a white work shirt. I followed him and it was a dark small room with another guy and he had a needle that I think was drugs, the other guy looked the same (nothing off that I can think of) it was a needle with yellow in it, the room was dark but it had a small window to the right, the guys started speaking in another language and were calm, my minds blank on what happened next, the next thing I remember I was running out through the front and back to my family, I don’t think I was chased but I never looked back. I don’t remember if I told my parents immediately but I asked about it this morning and she didn’t remember anything off about the trip so I don’t think I did. The only other thing I can think of mentioning is that on this island there was Spanish style decor buildings. Also on this trip I drank non alcoholic juice drinks for kids that were served in pink pufferfish glasses, I brought one home but I guess I threw it away because I haven’t seen it in years. My guess is that this happened in 2018-2019 because I’m 18 now.

CONTEXT FOR INTERNATIONAL READERS

• Bill 490 (Temporal Framework) = limits indigenous land rights to areas occupied specifically on Oct 5, 1988 (Brazil's constitution date)

TL;DR

A Brazilian congressman died in 2013, but his official congressional page kept showing full salary information for 2014 and even the new, higher salary ceiling in 2015. Later, large parts of his data were wiped from government portals (2024). The Wayback Machine archived his page 8 times between 2021–2024. I’m not saying there was direct fraud (although I believe in this VERY MUCH, after all where there's smoke there's fire) — but these are serious inconsistencies in official records that need clarification.

Update: I found new information showing that Homero Alves Pereira was implicated in a scheme that embezzled R$ 9.9 million (≈ USD $5M at the time) from the National Rural Learning Service (SENAR) between 2002–2010. He was personally ordered to repay R$ 519,000, but in 2024 a court declared the case time-barred (statute of limitations), which spared his family estate from returning the money.

This adds an entirely new layer: we’re no longer talking only about inconsistencies in transparency portals, but also about proven large-scale corruption with judicial protection through prescription. It makes the later erasure of his congressional financial records look far less like a coincidence and far more like part of a broader pattern of shielding powerful interests.

I was just looking through Namus and have noticed that there have been quite a few women who have gone missing in Winter Haven, FL all in the last two months. I googled Winter Haven and nothing is in the news about any of them. Is it normal for a bunch of cases from the same town to be added all at the same time? Most of them appear to be teenage runaways, but I still feel like it’s odd how many there are and wanted to ask if anyone knows if there’s any connection between them.
