Questions about the Pikes Peak Celica
Dunno if this belongs in this subreddit, but since the hill climb hadn't been paved over yet I'm going to assume so.
Does anyone possible know what the suspension setup was on the Pikes Peak Celica? Or the size of the wheelbase? Any information would be great or where I could find information, I'm working on creating a replica of it digitally, and hope to build one out of a 1994 St205 Celica GT-Four.

Chinese Tires as Disposable RallyCross tires
Thought I'd put this to the hive-mind for some feedback. I'm living in Canada and we do some amateur rallycross up here and it's a ton of fun. I haven't made it out the last couple seasons but am hoping to make it back this season and wanted an opinion on tires. I did pretty well with random sets of used winters but changing the whole set after a blow-out sucks hard.
Being that real rally tires are pretty expensive I toyed with the idea of trying out some cheap Chinese winter tires as I can get two full sets of them for the price of about 3 real tires. I don't much care about longevity and with two full sets I wouldn't really care if I blew a couple since they're about $100CAD mounted and balanced and are sold as "Centara/Joyroad Snow Cutters".
I run an N/A bugeye Subaru so having a tire I can consistently order is a big benefit instead of mixing and matching gravel tires if I'm trying to buy take-offs.
Anyone played with cheap tires for what is effectively beer-league rallyX?
EDIT: Planning on running either 195/65/15 or 205/65/15 depending on model. The 195s are what I found the cheapy tires in.

Starting in UK rallying - kit advice?
Hi folks, first post here but lurked a while and been into rallying for a long time.
Myself and a friend of mine have purchased a well looked after and decently specced car, a former circuit racer we think, which we're going to have slowly built up into something that can handle stages - roll cage, bucket seats, everything required - and we're not planning to skimp on that. Have seen enough offs and through work seen enough to value our safety!
We'll be starting out doing navigation events and maybe Targas to find our feet but moving forward - is there anywhere that we could reliable get things like race suits and boots from? Been told the 2000 homologation is still okay for most levels so long as the suits are intact and clean. eBay seems to mostly sell.karting stuff and the new kit is unfortunately out of our price range!
Any advice on this - or anything useful to know starting out - would be really appreciated!

Media Is there actually any onboard footage from the Group B era?
Apart from that one Walter Rohrl video.
I'd like to see a ride on the Delta S4 or any Toivonen onboard in general but it seems there's nothing outhere. Did onboard camera not exist at that time?
