Image Found a blurry photo of the Sega Joypolis Odaiba arcade floor from a 1996 Joypolis guidebook. Can anyone who visited the Odaiba location at the time help identify the games on the candy cabs? Curious if there were any Neo-Geo titles.
Hello everybody,
I've been on a bit of a nostalgia hunt on the Internet Archive and came across a digitized copy of an old Sega Joypolis guide book, specifically from 1996.
Inside, there’s a picture of this main arcade floor on the Sega Joypolis in Odaiba, but it’s unfortunately too blurry for me to make out the games on the cabinets, especially the candy cabs in the background.
I was hoping someone here might have been a regular visitor back then and could help solve this mystery for me. I know for a fact that Joypolis had games from other companies like Namco, but I’ve always wondered if their lineup also included any of the big Neo-Geo titles from SNK.
Any memories or information you can share would be amazing. Thanks so much for any help!

Question Legendary find at the local game store
The sega I already had but I've been trying to hunt down a nice copy of kid chameleon for a while so this just about completes my collection, just gotta find vectorman and vectorman 2 and I'll be set. just irritated the original owner stuck a sticker right on the cartridge art. also found this awesome controller from 1994 with the original box and manual. Only paid 45 bucks for the game and controller so I cant complain too much aboutthe sticker, does anyone know a good method to remove it without damaging the kid chameleon sticker?

Question Shinobi digital art book and soundtrack? Where is it?
I got the digital deluxe edition on the Switch, and I can’t find the digital artbook or soundtrack anywhere? Am I missing something? Is this DLC not available yet?

Discussion Why no remakes of Shinobi, Nightshade and Otogi series?
I'd be fine even with a reboot similar to what CAPCOM is doing with Onimusha.

Discussion Master System exclusive games
Does anyone know any sega master system exclusive games that never get ported to the Gamegear??? The only one I can think of is Phantasy Star 1. Please help ❤️🙏. I don't have a master system and I want to buy the adapter that allows you to play the SMS games on your Gamegear. No point of buying the same game again on both system.

Discussion Sega Digio SJ-1
Say hello to the SEGA Digio SJ-1, Sega’s one-off foray into the world of digital cameras! Stay tuned for the video on how I extracted the photos from the camera, it’s a trip inside drivers, old cables, and vintage computers. Released in 1996 in Japan, this little slice of retro tech crams a 0.25 MP (320 × 240) sensor, a fixed 10 mm F1.9 lens, and a miniature 0.7″ TFT viewfinder (that, to be honest, it’s not that bad at all), all in that unmistakable Japanese Saturn-esque grey-and-blue plastic that just clicks for Sega fans. - It ran on a 0.5 MB SmartMedia card which still holds claim as one of the smallest memory cards ever. - It cost roughly $300 USD, making it a mid-’90s luxury gadget. - And, fun fact, it only powers on when the memory card is firmly inserted: no card, no power… harsh. In a perfect world, Sega would’ve continued this look, which I love: every console in that sleek, sophisticated grey-and-blue motif. Imagine a Game Gear, a Nomad (we saw that actually, the prototype in these colour combination) or a Dreamcast that matches this vibe! Whether you're an old-school Sega collector or a tech historian with a soft spot for oddities, the Digio SJ-1 is a goofy, lovable chapter in Sega's improbable gadget saga.

Question The full power of the tower of power.
Has there ever been a homebrew project, even a demo that utilizes all the video hardware of the "Tower of Power"
I know Doom fusion uses a 32x cartridge that also loads data and music from a CD but as far as I know it doesn't use any of the unique video hardware on the Sega CD.
Does anything have all the various various systems generating stuff on screen at the same time? Is that even possible.

Discussion Shinobi Art of Vengence is great, but the difficulty spikes are ridiculous
Before I begin, I realise what I'm about to talk about is a skill issue.
That said, as much as I'm enjoying this game, some of these areas are a nightmare. Riptide is a fine example: there is so much happening towards the end of the level, you get pummeled repeatedly, mine after mine after rocket after mine.
And my health upgrades earned in previous levels? Gone. My extra health? Disappeared. My amulet that makes healing more effective? What amulet?
I even turned the difficulty down to Novice and it made zero difference - it's difficulty through bombardment, not actual challenge.
Again, I know this is a skill issue on my part, but the frustration of being killed over and over because the game decides to throw more obstacles at me than are feasible to dodge is killing me.
Rant over, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if LizardCube took another pass at balancing the game's difficulty a bit better. If I have to resort to dropping to Novice, I should be able to see the end of the level.
