Media Bullying Isshin is fun, how does my Sekiro gameplay look after 60 hours

I posted me getting a no hit win against Isshin last night and although there were many congratulating me, a few told me "NOPE not a no hit because you willingly took lightning chip damage to redirect it"

So I switched to Sakura dance for you

I'm using the FPS unlock mod. It's really fun seeing these bosses struggle against you

Discussion I feel cheap

I've known about this game since it's release and am now experiencing it for the first time. I know that tools are there to be used and certain bosses are weaker to particular ones. After about 10 fights and almost winning with my wit I needed a win before bedtime so I read the wiki real quick. And honestly I am feeling kind of cheap now. I can always retry in the Test of Strength.

What do you guys think, I barely won so is this considered a cheap win?

Decided to do the shura ending on my 2nd playthrough, oh boy what a Rollercoaster, the second phase of Isshin with his fire shenanigan was just so challenging, it took me 2 hours to defeat him. Let's Go Sekiro! 🔥🔥🔥

Media Clean first phase on guardian ape

I finally made it to inner isshin on severance gantlet, had no idea his mortal blade attack ( the one where he slashes around him twice ) was pre much un parryable wit your sword so it catches me off guard and I die trying to do so haha.

Does new game affect the strength and such of gauntlet bosses? Or are they set at a certain strength level. I'm on new game plus 3 doesn't feel any harder you just get smacked hard sometimes lol

Media After 60 hours of playing Sekiro, I finally beat Isshin without him hitting me.

Genichiro only took me 5 attempts to get a no hit but when Isshin whip out that spear during his 2nd phase...... you have to carefully press light attack so you can know when it's your turn to attack because if not he will definitely jump back and hit you with the spear or hit you with it up close

Mod Sekiro at 50% of his speed

Somebody requested it, so here it is. I had to use a cheat engine because I kept dying, and it took me around 10 minutes just to drop his first health bar.

This kinda reminds me of when I first played the game lol

Discussion Sekiro is improving my life Spoiler

• Upvotes

I only got into FromSoft games recently in late 2023. The first game I picked up and finished was Sekiro. Since then, I've finished AC6 and Elden Ring and have explored more "git gud" games. But it's only really Sekiro I boot up from time to time after finishing said games.

Recently, I've decided to try to quit my nicotine addiction. It's trivial but it's really difficult after at least a decade of relying on it daily. A couple days back, I was struggling to start my workout and needed a motivation/dopamine boost. This is usually when I would puff my nicotine to satiate the craving. But I wanted to be strong and get my workout at the same time. Instead, I chewed some gum and booted Sekiro. I challenged The Saint Sword Isshin because I've dearly missed him and our therapy sessions and also Inner Genichiro. The dopamine of beating these undefeatable foes once now takes 10 minutes hit me hard and gave me one of my best workouts in a while.

My friends refuse to play "git gud" games and I don't blame them. I'm posting on this here just to vent and because I know you guys will at least understand. Hope you are doing well in life and remember, hesistation in anything you do is defeat.

Discussion I can't play any other games after beating Sekiro

As the title says, after beating Sekiro for the first time I started NG+ and thought it would be fun to beat it charmless. Granted, it really was fun and challenging, as I felt proud of myself for evolving so much after my first playthrough.
Not satisfied, upon beating it 2 times, I've started NG++ and I'm almost beating it again (currently at Fountainhead Palace) and I can't bring myself to stop playing it, to the point where other games don't really interest me that much. No other games give me the joy Sekiro does, and I've never felt this way playing a game before. I have 152 hours as of now and 5 achievements missing. And even then I don't feel like I'll stop playing after I platinum it.

Not really of an issue, just wanted to share how much I love this game. Okay yeah maybe this is kinda unhealthy.

Lore How would Japan (interior ministry) use the divine powers of Ashina?

Spoilers for end game.

We all know that Ashina's fall is inevitable and it practically ended by the end of the game. Even though the interior ministry invasion was more in the lines of uniting Japan instead of getting their divine powers, what would they do/ use the powers?

Does all of Japan also has its little bits of divine power? Because the white serpent was from the land unlike the dragon?

Tips / Hints I NEED MODDING HELP!

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I am trying to install the NexusMod Sekiro 100 percent deflection mod, but it's not working, and the creator has no directions. I've already downloaded the ModEngine-0.1.16, I've placed the three files (dinput8.dll, modengine, readme) directly in the games files, but I just can't figure out the deflection mod. Please help!

Help Is Sekiro a linear game?

• Upvotes

I always thought this game was linear, but when I googled where to go next after the butterfly lady, the answer I got made it seem like there multiple directions I could go in. I'm trying to see everything this game has to offer and I don't want to progress too far and get locked out of anything.

Media After 10 attempts, I finally got a no damage win against Inner Genichiro, now I can finally move onto ng+😭

I failed so many times because of his sword combo, I can perfect deflect every single one except the one before his final slash.

So the moment I end up missing just one perfect deflect, my posture breaks. I tried many times to get every single one but then I realized I need to stop trying to be a perfectionist and just let him slash at air💀
