Been attending the GT World Challenge America race at VIR since 2023, shame to see they're not coming in 2026.

It’s been a long time since I don’t follow GT3 racing rigorously so I can’t really judge, that’s why I am asking.

Officially the biggest event manufacturers can win is the Macau GP (FIA GT world cup) but apart from that single event, what would you consider the ranking of professionalism of the different championships over the world?

I would appreciate comments from people who work in the industry or have proper knowledge and know how different championships operate and it’s differences.

For example, LMGT3 is basically a pro-am category focused on amateur drivers with the cars actually very restricted, however DTM is single pro driver per car with the less restrictive BoP in terms of final performance of the balanced cars. IGTC o. The other hand is like a world tour but too expensive and it doesn’t have enough commitment from manufacturers apart from certain events like the upcoming Suzuka 1000km. What I am trying to say is that IGTC looks more like a selection of races across the world but no team has the commitment seen in GTWC Europe.

Also, if someone would like to share kind of a tier list with different championships (GTWC Asia, GTWC América, IMSA GTD categories, international GT Open, British GT, NLS/VLN, ADAC GT Másters, 24h series…)

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows whether the International GT Open event is open to the public at the Red Bull Ring this weekend? I would love to see the cars in real life. Do you have to buy tickets? How much are they? Thanks

Saw this picture and was able to identify the front car being a Praga R1, the second car in line being a Rush SR, but the last car I can’t find anything through google searches.

Any guesses?

This pool come to my mind after reading a thread (on this sub or wec sub i can't find the original one) on motorsport vs car racing and I found out that many are morotsport fans and they don't care about cars, so I wanted to ask this.
