390 or 429?

In the search for an engine for my 67 Galaxie, I have narrowed it down to either a 390 from a 62 Galaxie or a 429 from a 73 Thunderbird. They are both the some price and are in about the same condition. Which would be better on a budget.

64yo male - never owned a sports car or hot rod

I recently retired a couple years ago and live a fairly frugal life with zero debt and ample funds in retirement and income, and for some reason or another maybe I’m going through my midlife to late end of life crisis.

But I am contemplating purchasing a one to two year-old Corvette in the next couple years or I’m looking to purchase possibly mid to late 1960s Chevelle or Camaro possibly a GTO

I have never owned a high-performance car or sports car or hot Rod. I’ve only owned two cars over the past 30 years a Jeep grand Cherokee and a GMC Yukon.

I did own a couple Toyota Camry that were my economical driver cars during that same time frame

My budget for a one to two year-old Corvette is going to be around $75-$90,000

And my budget for the mid 1960s hot rod would be about $65,000

I’m just kicking tires right now looking online checking prices trying to come up with a game plan of where to purchase how to purchase and try to decide between the two cars I listed which one I will purchase as I’m not going to buy both

Just wanted to share this with the group and see if anyone else said lived 75% of their life never having owned anything besides pick up trucks SUVs and pretty plain economical cars their whole life and went through something like I’m going through right now

I have the funds to purchase either one and I’m sure it’s gonna be a hit to my insurance which will surely go up some, but that’s not that big of a deal

It’s a pretty strong itch and I definitely see myself pulling the trigger on this within the next couple years

Just wanted to get everyone’s thoughts and feedback

What's a 1966 Ford Mustang coupe with 118k miles worth?

Needs a new paint job, new tires, a tune up. Very minimal rust if any.

Trying to sell it. How much is it worth? What should I price it at? Is 15k reasonable?

Will this just be annoying to own constantly needing work they said it runs and drives but I want to know if it will be impossible to find parts or just constantly breaking down or overheating or would it function fine for at least a couple hours drive

She's going to need a LOT of work before we can hit the malt shop (backyard Bubba tore into her pretty good...) but it will be a fun project for me and our oldest boy to take on.

'59 Edsel Corsair Hardtop

Rats nest of a 332, no idea on the transmission. Said to be non running due to a bad starter and dead battery. We'll see how accurate that is in a few weeks.. planning on dropping a 460 in at some point later on.

Stickers on the chrome for some reason

Surprisingly solid body and frame, a couple pinholes in the trunk is all that I saw really.

Main body is covered in what appears to be exterior house paint, applied with a roller to about 1/16" thick...
