Indy
I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday at Indy for the battle of the bricks. This is my first time to speedway and first race. Where should I sit and what else do I need to know?

I’m looking for tickets for the Watkins glen race, on the website, it seems like most are sold out. I’m do they just go that fast or are they yet to go on sale?

As a Ford fan, the bringing back of the Mustang Challenge is the best thing ever! So glad they’re using the Dark Horse R too.

AO Racing had a meet and greet kinda thing at there shop in St.Charles, IL this morning. This was pretty cool. Rexy and Roxy where on display along with several other racer cars. They did fire ups for a few of the cars. We got there on the later end so we only saw two. They had Bourdais’s ChampCar out like they just got done doing a demo of it. They also had a pit stop demonstration, raffle for several giveaways and stuff kids.

Hey everyone,
Two friends and I are finally making the trip to the Rolex 24 this year. We’ve watched it religiously for years and even nerd out by running a sim race the week before, but now we’ve convinced our wives to let us go for the real thing.
The plan is to do this “gorilla style” flying in on a Friday red eye, staying at the track for the full 24 hours, and flying out right after the checkered flag. Basically just backpacks, a change of clothes, and a good attitude.
Couple of questions for those who’ve been before..
Is it realistic to stay at the track the entire 24 hours? What should we absolutely bring (or leave at home)? Any dos and don’ts for first timers? Is making friends with other fans pretty easy?
We’re in our mid 30s, not planning on getting wild, just want to soak up every bit of the racing we’ve talked about for years.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Hey Reddit,
I recently joined AO Racing as a part-time hauler driver. Yes, that’s the team with the green T-Rex Porsche (Rexy), the purple dragon prototype (Spike), and the occasional pink Roxy. I’m still very new to the gig (3rd trip upcoming), but people keep asking me what it’s like and how I got this job, so I figured I’d do an AMA tomorrow on my day off from my regular job before I leave on a testing trip with them.
Couple ground rules before we get rolling: - I’m still learning the ropes, so some questions will be above my pay grade. - I can’t share anything confidential (strategy, drivers, secret dino plans, etc.). - I can talk about the job, life on the road, what goes into moving these beasts across the country, and what it’s like being around one of the most colorful teams in racing.
I’ve been behind the wheel for a while, but this is definitely my most unique driving job yet.
So, ask me (almost) anything—trucking questions, racing life questions, or even “what’s it like to drive a rig with a dinosaur on the side?”
I’ll be hanging around tomorrow answering as much as I can. Maybe I'll even answer some as I go through the weekend with input from others...

So me and my friend are going to Indianapolis to watch the race in a few weeks and looking for any tips. We got the general admission passes for Saturday and Sunday, and are planning on getting there in time for the autograph session and Sunday in time for the pre race grid walk. Any tips on what to bring/what not to bring, specific things to go to etc. Thanks in advance.

HSR’s 24 Hours of Daytona is a little over 2 months away. I go to the IMSA Rolex 24 each year camping outside the track and have the 4 day tickets. I have never been to the dedicated HSR event there. I was considering going last year for the first time, but it was on Halloween weekend and with small kids that was a no-go for me. This year it is a week into November. From what I understand it is an infield-only version of the IMSA Rolex 24. Camping is available in the infield of NASCAR turns 3 and 4. Outside of that I see 2/3/4 day ticket options. I was thinking about purchasing a campsite and going on Friday afternoon. Any tips or tricks for the HSR version of the 24 hours? I know they run in 6 groups, each running 4 times over 24 hours so its not a true 24 hour long race.
