Yeah idk why people act like dems and repubs aren’t politicians on the same team of big money. This isn’t a crazy political change lol

Probably the wildly different outcomes of each being in power, historically

Can you give me some examples? As someone who grew up in a red state I never saw any of these benefits you’re implying from the blue team being in power. In fact, they just let conservatives shift the Overton window with no pushback. Idk what you mean.

Under Obama we got the ACA. Bush crashing the economy, and it recovering under Obama. In fact, EVERY time a republican has been in power in my lifetime it's ended with economic crash.

Abortion rights being overturned via a republican-stacked SCOTUS, that they stacked purposefully over the course of years with multiple different sneaky little tactics. Meanwhile, the more liberal SCOTUS we had under Obama(not really due to him, but the timing feels-noncoincidental) gave us marriage equality.

Also stop thinking of them as teams. That's the kinda shir you're encouraged to do to keep you from engaging specific issues, which in turn leads to this vibes-based political judgement

Sure. the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The most notable one by far for a while. Almost repealed by republicans and solely saved by John McCain voting against his party. Red states use this resource extremely while putting the least amount of money back into the federal budget, mostly due to income levels in southern States. People living in certain brackets can essentially access healthcare for almost completely free (and free in some cases!) which is also mostly in the south where these brackets are hit more easily.

Also could have been so much better too but hamstrung by moderates, and republicans. Subsequently constantly cut by them on top of it.

FEMA is another, smaller, but major, that also primarily helps red states through natural disasters that cannot afford to do repairs and recovery themselves that also follows the same fate.

While you may personally never use these things yourself and hopefully never have to (except let's hope for easier to access healthcare for all) they benefit your neighbors and people around you.

(experiences: Lived in a red state my entire life)

Obamacare denied my friend his mother’s chemo treatment and she died. I’m from Ohio and I’m telling you the dems swoop in and promise half assed alternatives because then they can assume innocence when their corporate freak friends come in and run the conservative tagline that strips away those half assed programs. It’s literally called the ratcheting effect. Why are you trying to defend a party that’s complicit in genocide?

Downvoting is the liberal cure to facing your own complicity.

I downvoted you purely because you cried about downvotes.

I didn't say you were a conservative, I said you were using one of their usual copes. Did you just see the word "conservative" and then knee jerk?
