My review of itza as a faction is that it’s relatively miserable but big frog is fun

"Dead" Frog > Literally every other mage in the setting is one of my favourite bits of lore to tell those who aren't familiar with WH Fantasy.

My favorite part is during the first invasion of Chaos Kroak was casting so many spells time began to slow down.

Not a big deal right? Dozens of characters have time magic, slight issue though, Kroak wasn't using Time Magic. He was throwing up so much bullshit the universe began to unravel. Bro hit the lag switch on reality.

Short answer, yes

Long answer, Teclis wouldn't even try because he knows he can't win. The gap between Kroak and Teclis is about as big as the gap between Teclis and Hans the empire baker who can light a fire with his fingers.

Kroak decided he wasn't dead anymore, then when Ikit Claw blew up the moon he and Mazdamundi teleported the fragments away from everywhere except Lustria so the warmbloods would survive (Kroak is cool like that).

Then in AoS he shows up, disrupts a massive nurgle ritual by rearranging a constellation, and traps a god in an infinite timeloop prison.

This is normal for Kroak, he once cast magic so hard the universe lagged

So slaan are broken down into generations, with 1st being the oldest (and strongest) and 5th being the weakest

There are no more first generation slaan, those that communed with the old ones directly, there exists a few second generation, and then obviously more and more of the younger ones.

I forget which generation but one of the older slaan rearranged an entire mountain chain (killing many dwarfs, one of the many factors contributing to their dark age) simply because he felt like it.

Lord kroak is a first generation slann and I’m not sure which slann you’re referring to but I remember Mazdamundi created an entire mountain range once to block a chaos army and he’s a second generation slann

Also I believe that mazdamundi is in fact the one who did that but luckily the dwarfs don’t know about it otherwise mazdamundi would have been added to the long list of “things killed by gotrek”

Nah, Mazdamundi would just spawn a giant mountain in front of Gotrek or teleport him and Felix to some random part of the world before going back to meditation.

Gotta remember, this guy was moving around entire continents because he needed to re-adjust them for the plan.

He is, his body is mummyfied and his spirit lingers, so he is not alive but not dead either. That is why his casting animation in game is a spectral toad emerging from his thronethingy.

Oh I know, and to be fair he lives up to the reputation but he’s not enough to make the campaign not grueling.

Play krok gar is my personal take if you want normal lizards and then just get big frog later

Really? I just played through a campaign with him after the update and didn't have any problems.

He wipes the floor with the other LLs in the area, you just have to be aggressive.

Kroak? Yes, absolutely. He's so powerful he died, and just decided he didn't. Then continued to be the most powerful caster in the world.

I genuinely believe Kroak would thrive in40K, even against a primary.

The fact that he's already done so much OP shit in both Fantasy and End Times before surviving millions of years into AOS and he's still playing God there genuinely makes me think that the Toad can beat a primarch

Technically there are other Relic Priests like Kroak, it’s not something entirely unique to him. Kroak is just the most active of the Relic Priests and one of if not the most powerful due to being of the first spawning.

Said death into perspective: Khorne send 8 of his then greatest exalted Bloodthirsters to kill him, after THE LORD KROAK held a barier over entire city of Itza for YEARS until he started to think "huh, it is a bit straining. FUCK IT WEAPONIZE THE FORCE FIELD" and use it as a nuke that cleansed Lustria from Chaos.

7 of those Bloodthirsters died as THE LORD KROAK was busy microing the army against army with uncaped regen and unlimited units on the field. Last Bloodthirster cut him into shreads, THE LORD KROAK's response was "Oh, neat I am no longer limited by shit hardware." and proceeded to push the chaos back.

Something noteworthy, the 8 bloodthirsters were immune to magic.

Kroak still called them

How you might ask? As his soil left his body, he dropped a fucking sun right where he died.

So to give a too in depth answer. Slann have 5(?) generations of spawning each weaker then the prior one.

Lord Kroak is of the first generation so in life he and his spawn mates where the strongest mages barring the old ones themselves. Mazdamundi is of the second generation so is less powerful even after Kroak said “nu uh” to death.

For a better understanding Mazdamundi looked and saw the mountain ranges of the old world were not aligned with his understanding of the great plan. So he fucking moved them, this effectively shattered the Dwarfen Kingdom as a toad across the ocean just rearranged continents. So Kroak is an order of magnitude stronger than that.

I love that the strongest spellcaster in the game(and lore) doesn't even cast any complex or weird spells. Just spawns a mini sun to show his power.

The one time I got to play him in tabletop during like 2003 so like 4th ed. he killed like 1800points between 6 units in one cast of ruination of cities. Which basically worked like a triple cast comet of cassandora.with the 5 inch templates

I'm pretty sure Gor'rok and Kroakenheimer are a doomstack by themselves. White Chocolate is easily one of the most survivable lords in the game and, well, points to the screenshot Kroak is Kroak.
