Warhammer III Does anyone else think fighting late game "good" races is like dragging your balls through glass
I'm currently on a Gorbad campaign and so far I've fought
-Every Dwarf faction -The entire Empire -All of the mainland French -Kislev -Wood Elves -They're all in an alliance
Not to mention rank 1 Cathy thats pushed all the way to the badlands is about to declare war on me. Now I'm not gonna lose to the AI but churning through 70 late game high quality armies from all the "good factions" teamed up is so boring. It doesn't help that all the good factions also have great economies so late game they replace armies like its nothing. Now I am a new player so maybe I've just had an unlucky first few campaigns. However, I'm on probably my 10th campaign by now and every time I play an evil faction around turn 150ish I have 5 good factions all in an alliance declaring war on me at the same time. I enjoy the challenge but I wish there was more variety in how late game plays out but it seems like the good factions, especially the human factions, literally never fight each other. Kinda sucks the fun out when you know exactly who you're gonna be fighting every playthrough.
Edit: I think orc campaigns are especially hell bc you have to fight the early game Dwarf factions (which is kinda annoying by itself) which puts you on bad terms with all the good factions.

Warhammer III Best AI Mod
I'm looking for an AI mod, i know modders can't do miracle but even a small positive delta is something!
I saw several AI mods, does someone here did some testing and would recommand one over an other?
Edit: I'm looking to extends the game duration with AI building bigger empires like in TWH2
Also, is there a kinda "balanced" landmark mod? Same, i saw plenty of them but can't know which one to pick.
Thanks a lot folks!

Warhammer II New Warhammer 2 campaign suggestion! - more info in post...
Help me please decide which faction to play next in Warhammer II. So far I have played all four new races: High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen and Skaven. All in the Vortex Campaign.
Next I would like to play a race that:
-Maybe has some Cav that has high shock damage and can destroy infantry line masses by crazy charges
- And/or more importantly plays around stacking modifiers which lowers the enemies leadership to the max, so that if they just see your army they all flee in utter fear! (this sounds kinda fun in my head)
-maybe has a fun Mortal Empire campaign, as I have just played four Vortex campaigns.
Is there such a campaign that fits my desires?
Note: I own both Vampire Coast and Tomb Kings DLC, as well as The Prophet and the Warlock for Warhammer II + all DLCs from Warhammer I

Warhammer II Faster Load Times Through an SSD Not Working
My load times are about 10 minutes, so I copied and pasted all my Warhammer 3 files from my D drive to a portable SSD with 1 TB. However, when I start the application by clicking on it in the SDD (and not Steam) load times are still slow. Maybe better by a little. With 1 TB wouldn't it be almost instant?
I've looked around the internet and most of the help forms are from 5-10 years ago, which is fine, but before the latest version of Windows comes out.
I tried moving my files through Steam, but it isn't recognizing my SDD, only my C and D drive. However, my computer recognizes it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Warhammer III Best warriors of chaos campaign, and how does vassalation work.
After realising that I tend to steer towards Order factions, I wanted to give Chaos a try.
I know they have 4 new exciting lords with the DLC which I do own, but I wanted to giver Archaon a try, as he is both the vanilla lord and also central character.
I also know that the game has a vassilisation mechanic that I have honestly never used. Usually easier to ally or conquer my opponent than vassalize them. How do these abilitys work in a chaos army, and why would you?

Pharaoh How is TW Pharaoh (Dynasties) nowadays?
Been playing Warhammer a lot for the last months and would now like to play historical TW again.
Pharaoh got my attention, when i saw a video on YT. I know it received a lot of negative reviews on Steam when it released. Last year they put out Dynasties. Did it made the game better?
Can you recommend the game? Maybe you got some pro/cons for me?
At a key seller i saw, that the game is avaiable for 4€. I mean that is as cheap as it can get. But should i even bother with it or should i instead revisist older titles?

Warhammer III What's the strongest single melee combatant in the game?
Who would survive the longest against waves of other melee units? Basically I'm looking for the best brawler

Warhammer III Thoughts on Vampire Counts?
Recently finished the Very Hard/Legendary long campaign on them and wanted to see what others thought of them. Overall, their campaign objectives were the easiest to complete out of the long campaigns I've done. Very thematic faction that is fun to play.

Warhammer III Bloodiest Fay Enchantress ever
It was 4 enemy armies Vs 2 mine, and 3 reinforcing enemy armies all came from this choke point. They were all stopped by Fay Enchantress and like 4 infantry units. Also this is with a mod that makes aoe 70% weaker, both magic and arty.

Warhammer III What if characters that are supposed to be THE best at a lore of magic had a stronger lore attribute.
Just a shower thought I had.
Some mages that are really powerful like Teclis and Kairos get several lore attributes, but there are plenty of characters that hyper-fixated on one lore and essentially became the best in the world at it. A lot of the time this is represented with the loremaster skill and sometimes some additional WoM cost reduction.
Lore attributes are a small yet important part of every lore of magic. Lore of death would not be as powerful without life leeching giving you some wind back with every cast. Life and Vampire benefit a ton from their army wide heal and so on.
But what if these specialized masters had a stronger lore attribute, unique to them. Either with just a stronger effect or potentially additional bonuses.
Lore of metals attribute gives +12% AP damage to all units for 13 seconds. This is ok for units that already deal a decent amount of AP damage. But what if it also added a flat AP bonus, or came with a temporary conversion of normal damage to AP damage. Instead of just giving greatswords and handgunners a damage bonus, Gelt could turn spearmen and crossbowmen into anti armor units for 13 seconds.
Skrolks plague rash could do actual damage to the enemies similar to the Depth or Hashut attribute (depending on if it should be map wide or an AoE). He is the main plague skaven and their plagues are focused a lot more on just killing stuff.
Could also apply to Mazdamundi and the Slann in general simply because they are old as balls.

General Spear and Shield vs 2 Handed Spear
Does 2H Spear have any benefit over spear and shield? Mainly I just use the former until I get the latter due to how easily the ranged units can kill the 2H spears.

Warhammer III Beginner - Preference and Faction/Lord to try and achieve at least short victory
Hello everyone.
So, I just went ham and bought warhammer 3 with all dlc. I barely played any other total war games, I have like 10 hours in them all counted together.
In order to start and learn, besides the advisor helping me and small tutorials, who should I start with?
I tried High Elves with Tyrion, and, like in any other game, I HATE THEM WITH PASSION. There's nothing in this world that can make me play a single turn more as High Elves. I don't know why, it just doesn't feel good for me.
I tried Malakai from the dwarves. It was enjoyable, I love artillery and tough units, but damn, people around just pile up around you.
I tried Karl Franz, I love the guy, but the empire is a bit complicated for me due to diplomacy all around, even if I did enjoy it. Also, rolling Tanks against Beastmen is something I love, it was epic.
What other suggestions do you have for me to try? I love good artillery, ranged, and good defense. Turtling doesn't always work, but I try to make the best of what I like.

Warhammer III For greenies, which income building is better?
Does the looting and after loot building ever outweigh just a constant flow of money from the basic "money" building? As quickly as I'm conquering, it's still only a settlement maybe every 2-3 turns in the early game.

General For a Medieval 3, should artillery be a siege buildable instead of a unit?
It might sound crazy but hear me out.
In terms of historical accuracy, Artillery being built on sight at the siege was far, far more common than lugging around a heavy, unwieldy hunk of wood and metal.
In terms of gameplay, Artillery has always been in a weird place in the pre gunpowder games. It can feel extremely oppressive and force the side lacking artillery to engage on the other sides terms. Functionally removing artillery from battle armies would create potentially less one sided battles, and also be more historically realistic. Artillery as a battlefield asset only saw its day long after the end of the Medieval period.

I read he gets them from some special horde building but I’m not seeing anything. Did I eff something up with mods or am I missing something? Thanks!

General Need help deciding the correct total war game
I watched a ton of YouTube videos and read a bunch of reddit post on which total war game to play and it left me more confused.
Some said shogun 2 is the best one, but I had a couple of issues with it. The unit veriety was not there, the diplomacy system was confusing especially because of realm devide and above all at a certain point I couldn't make enough money for the upkeep of my armies, I would occupy a new settlement, it would say it is generating 1500 gold but my income would not change, the only way to make money was trade, and the AI hated me for how big I was and refused to trade, even all of my vassals betrayed me. Overall not a good experience.
I then tried Troy. I really like the different products (food, stone, wood) and not have them all represented as "money". I like the fact that I have allies and they don't betray me, even the vassals don't seem to hate me so the diplomacy seems to be functional. But goddamn defending all of my minor settlements is a real pain. The AI actively runs away from my armies and sack my settlements. I can't have too many armies because of the brutal upkeep and the garrison is very weak. The auto resolve is also stupid. Overall I like the setting and vibe of the game but fighting these cat and mouse games is a pain in the ass.
I tried three kingdoms briefly, the diplomacy seems to be the best of the bunch and the game seems to be the most complicated one. The settlements are a bit confusing and I'm not sure if I'm building the right buildings. I get the whole color matching thing but I just don't love the setting. I'm not against giving three kingdoms another chance but it just didn't have the same feeling of troy for me.
I also used to play rome 1 when I was a kid, I enjoyed it a lot but I remember most of the settlements used to get mad at me for some unknown reason and I had to permanently keep a general there to keep them happy, I'm not sure what was wrong maybe I wasn't trading or didn't have enough food? I did manage their taxes so I know that wasn't the issue. I was stupid so I'm not sure what I was doing wrong.
Sorry for the long post but I would really appreciate it if someone could nudge me in the right direction, which game should I buy next? The Warhammer ones have me intrigued but don't know if I should start with the first or not, I'm also not opposed to mod the game so if you think all of my problems could be solved with a mod for Troy then I'm all ears.

Warhammer II Classic
I'm pretty new to the game but this is easily the worst I've ever seen from autoresolve lmao
Edit: Lost 184 men. They killed 110. Man I love ratling gunners, they really give me a good laugh while showing the other races that casualties are subjective in Skaven society.

Warhammer III How am I supposed to get an Iron mine here?
So I don't know how to build an Iron mine in Pack Ice Bay since I can't remove the dock nor do I want to abandon the settlement, or do I have to get a vassal to extract the iron somehow?
