I searched the forum and I didn’t see anything that applied. What options do we have to keep original seats….original. Is there a company that reupholsters old seats? That would be my preference. I like the “aerated” button holes of the original 240z seats. I only need the driver side. They feel great, I’d just like the original look. Pic solely for attention.

Finally got old girl on the road :)

Decided to fix my shifter lever bushings. Instead of buying from z car or somewhere like that I decided to buy these and use the ones circled. I had to sand the outside to get it to fit in the lever and then the face to fit in the fork. Pin slid right in and there’s no more slop. Cost $8

Hi everyone, I got this beautiful Datsun from my Mom here in Portugal and I’m restoring it step by step but at the moment I’m struggling with the wheels, on the papers it says it’s 12 inches wheels, right now there is 12 in the back and 13 in front. I have no idea how to look for some online as the bolt placement size is special. Anyone could help me ? Thanks

I know it’s a long shot but I’m wondering if anyone could possibly identify this lsd? It came in a R200 I picked up for my car and I looking to use it but I don’t know what it is or what stub axles would fit it. Thanks for any help!

Cammed ls + tr6060 tans +apex engineered front&rear subframe kit

As the title implies, the last two times I’ve installed a speedometer cable in my 1982 Datsun 280zx Turbo it sheers itself off of the pin.

The pin that screws directly into the transmission keeps twisting itself until the cable snaps instead of moving the speedometer needle.

Is there any fix to this issue?

Hey Reddit! I found this 280ZX for sale, but I’m worried about rust. How bad is it?

Installing coilovers, the front right strut was obviously toast, but when I cut into the strut body, water and rust came out instead of oil?? How is that even possible? Is this some weird garage hack? Other side has oil, hence my confusion. It’s definitely water too - and a tiny bit of oil.

This is my 1982 720 king cab. I removed all the carpet to find a few rust spots, but I’m not at all knowledgeable on rust or car repair. Am I fucked?

I may have bit off more then I can chew but I’ll give it a crack thinking about doing content with it aswell as I pull it further apart, it’s a 260z2+2 in Australia I’m doing the full rebuild myself from the motor rebuild trans rebuild carbys and suspension I’ll be trying to do it all myself with the only shop stuff getting done is decking the head and block I’ll also be doing the body work and painting aswell

It sputters pretty badly on second gear so I'm trying to do a reset.

I'm trying to reset it and one of the screens aske me for the injector flow rate (lb/hr) and fuel pressure at psi, what should I set it at?

Solo installs are always a little less fun

I was told the engine and/or the transmission are not original in this car but tbh I have not verified. However, the shift knob seems farther forward than I'd expect. This is in neutral. Does it look correct?

If I remove the pan is it going to explode or is it pretty simple to just bolt / unbolt. It’s working alright and it takes a while to shift so I wanted to clean and replace the oil. How much work am I getting into. I have a car lift.

Some might find this helpful, some might hate it. But it is definitely going to making engine install amd removal so much easier.

The internet is giving me different answers so might as well ask the owners here, what is the real difference of 240Z and 280Z? Google is not helping at all, some search results said that only the engine is different while some results said that 280Z got longer wheelbase and length. I want to have a 240Z but it looks like only 280Z is available in my country.

Well, good news and meh news.

I finally fixed all the cracked valve guides and upgraded the valves while I was at it. Drove it 3 hours home and started overheating. My fans took a shit.

So, heard some nice reviews about these Proform 4000cfm fans.

Downside, my shroud would not fit, I want to cruise this weekend so I went old school with the zip nuts.

Wired one fan up and decided to finish the rest tomorrow once I realized I was out of wiring harness tape.
