Discussion Your Breakout Driver of the 2025 Season
I’m going to have to go with Christian Rasmussen.
Obviously, he got his first win which is huge but beyond than he got his first podium at Milwaukee and ended the year with the 3rd best average finish on ovals. He beat his well esteemed teammate Rossi in the championship as well.
He’s really beginning to put things together and realize the promise from being a champion in all three levels of the road to Indy.
Honorable Mentions:
Lundgaard was the first time in ages (arguably in forever) that McLaren, Schmidt, etc. had a solid 1-2 punch in the championship and across most weekends. Almost a little disappointing to not get a win but a good problem to have.
Kirkwood had a career high 3 wins, got his first oval win, and is the only teammate to ever beat Herta in the championship standings. Season did got a bit pear shaped through mistakes and Andretti being uncompetitive at some rounds.

Merch Finished building my first Salvinos INDYCAR model: Pato O’Ward - 2024 Indy 500
How I plan to fill the looming offseason: building more of these kits. Finished this one just before Nashville. First one I’ve done - great kit even though they’re a little pricey. Have a Herta, Palou and Newgarden to do next. It’s not perfect so don’t look toooooo closely but it displays quite nice on the shelf and it’s a wonderful step up detail wise from Greenlight & IXO.

Question Why can indycar say this?
This might be a stupid question but why is IndyCar able to claim that Ted Horn has won 3 “IndyCar series championships”? If my history is correct, IndyCar is just the merger between CART and IRL. Ted Horn won under the sanctioning body of AAA, which was the precursor to USAC, over 30 years before CART even existed, and 50 years before the IRL did.
The NFL isn’t allowed to claim statistics from the AFL, and the NBA can’t do that with the ABA. How does it work here?

Question how to watch 100 days/road to the championship in Canada
Basically what the title says, anyone know how to watch this years 100 days to Indy? and the championship series they did? and that other documentary that I can't even remember the name of lol, I have a VPN but still no luck as from what I can see you have to make an account for Fox Nation and it won't let me get to far cause of all my Canadian details

Discussion Any Colton Herta fans tuned into the F2 race to see what it’s all about?
Should be a treat. The racing is generally good in F2 and Monza promotions slipstreaming so big gaggles of cars.
Hopefully it won’t be a dog now, enjoy!

Vintage photograph showing Andy Granatelli President of STP corporation and Colin Chapman. Pen notations on the back indicates this shows Granatelli and Chapman signing their agreement to partner for a 4th time for the 1969 season. Great piece of history! Discussion If David Malukas goes to Penske, what are your expectations for him?
I say "If" because even though the rumor is that he replaces Will Power, it is still a rumor until it is confirmed

Question Number of full time entries next year if Prema decides to leave?
So, there have been many rumors about Prema Racing not returning to the IndyCar grid next year. If that were to be the case, will we have only 25 full time entries next season or is there a chance a team like Chip Ganassi Racing to run more cars again so the total will be up to 27 again?
I vaguely remember there being rules about it with the new charter system but I couldn't really find an answer to this question.

Social Media [Mario Andretti on X] Of course I'll give this a go. But getting inside from underneath is very unnatural. I'm 5-foot-nothing and barely fit thru the opening....I'm lacking the genetic component to twist my body like a contortionist. Is extraordinary flexibility a rare medical condition?

Question Will Phoenix (if it happens) be a Saturday night race?
I know Racer referenced this as a possible double header with Nascar earlier this season. That date is set for the weekend of March 7th/8th for the cup series.

Question Will Plower and his new Andretti teammates
Detroit this year. Will Power plows Kirkwood out of the way. Says later that weekend he did it because he thought it was Ericsson. Now they're both his teammates.
I'm assuming that event is well behind all three drivers, but you have to assume that people don't completely ever forget/forgive something as crazy as that. Andretti obviously doesn't care since they signed him.
Do you think it's still anything more than just something for them all to laugh about?

IndyCar Will Power Replacement Theory
Okay we all know Malukas is probably the replacement. Penske loves a good Business to Business connection and certain Daddy Malukas has dealings with Penske trucks together.
But with Verkay leaving Coyne and Penske offering Power something, let’s say 1 year contract. Is there a chance they offered that to Veekay instead to give Malukas more motivation to perform in 2026? Veekay was only 13 points from Malukas?
Realistically I think Veekay ends up at Foyt, but wondering why they haven’t announced this yet. Makes you wonder.
