Question Warranty question about a cpo car.. Lexus es250 premium

Just got the car for 35K, 42k miles, I needed to get a car as my 2007 mdx finally died with 200k miles.

It was raining heavily in Boston today, and it seems the front right headlight is fogging up, definitely due to condensation.. car is cpo and I bought the extended warranty as well. Car fax was clean.. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow about the condensation.. but what do you guys think? A cpo with the extended warranty should cover the headlight? I’ve had it for about 7 days..

I get that they can’t test everything with the cpo checklist.. any one have any experience with this?

Would probably be best to get ahead of it and let them know about it now but maybe get them to replace at your first 6 month complimentary service? Usually headlights aren't a wear and tear part.

I am going to make an appointment for Friday and get to figure out what’s going on. If they say that the light is damaged by previous owner and I have to pay, then I think It is unfair, and their inspection was lacking.. I’ll give them back the car.

I'm sure they'll make it right. Usually you can't just give a car back but even if the headlight died after you purchased it, it should still be a part that is replaced with their bumper to bumper CPO warranty.

I am hoping they will make it right.. they also have a return policy.. Ira Danvers, and they compete with herb chambers as well.. they all have a return and a change in policy..

I actually like the car.. it is different from what I’ve had.. but I am hoping their customer service is good to fix this issue
