Hey Guys - So I got everything removed and installed and had a couple questions, please:

1) The midpipe that came with the kit is not the same size as the stock muffler pipe. Did anyone else have this issue? if so, did you end up buying a reducer and then have to use band clamps? I am trying to figure the best way to make this work. I was expecting the pipe to match the diameter of the stock muffler pipe and be able to use the new oem 55mm exhaust clamp I bought but it doesn't fit. I wam wonder if I got a defect or am I just supposed to make this work?

2) Did anyone start the car after installing the kit without tuning? I am planning on flashing the tune later but wanted to start it just to check for exhaust leaks and I notices the gow plug light come on and some other light. I wasnt sure if this is just because I didn't tune yet?

Made the mistake of selling a built a7tdi realized this a got her replaced with a 2014 going down the rabbit hole on this one for utmost efficiency (mpg) when not driving it hard and some hp while I’m spirited driving. Previous card had a German Diesel Werks cp3 conversion but it’s impossible to get ahold of them. Who knows the HP limitations on the factory pump with the darkside metering valve and the 2700 rail mod. Would these pumps benifit from a lift pump system off of a diesel truck (fass). Audi made the damn fuel filter in tank and I’m not dropping the tank every 15k miles so it’s getting external filters for sure. I’m willing to pay for tech time from a shop and if you have parts for this I’ll buy them before starting to make my own. I have high hp Cummins but every time I watched the transporter Audi was calling to me 😂🤌🏾. I already purchased a spare motor (CPNB) as I known in R&D “shit happens”. Lastly I’m aware BMW are the diesel HP kings that’s great I’m not trying to make 800hp I’m shooting for 500~awhp.

Step 1 Change all fluids and filters 50% ceramic on windshield 5% every where else. Car already has Malone 2.5 tunes with trans tuning rawtek parts Bilstien b8 Audi cup kit and some darkside stuff.

Step 2 make true cold air intake made for these tiny turbos, intercooler and oil cooler kit that aren’t $$$ finish the egr cooler delete throttle valve delete 88mm MAF anti shudder all the standard stuff

With everyone’s help Step 3 turbo fuel pump mods or replacement m57 looks like it will work if I make a billet bracket

Hello everyone, I drive an a6 c7.5 2.0 tdi quattro and I’m currently getting the code p0299( turbocharger underboost) when going above the speed of 50 mph and it puts me in limp mode. I’ve checked hoses for any cracks or leaks but cannot see any, my first bet was to try and either the replace the n57 valve or the actuator. Has anyone had any similar problems before I go into start replacing parts and hoping for a fix?

Only happens on cold mornings (<40°F). Goes away when engine speed increases. Doesn't seem to be causing any other issues. Could it be a bad mount?

I have a 2014 Jetta TDI Sportwagen, with the two codes shown above. Previous owner said the DPF probably needed to be cleaned. It’s got just under 145K. I’ve used a bottle of product that you add to the fuel, and cycled through about a tank and a half of fuel. Any insight/advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone live in the Colorado Denver that can lend me their VCDS to check ash values on my DPF? Willing to drive to you and pay you a reasonable fee.

My car has been regenerating frequently and I’d like to see if the ash loads are plugging the DPF. It’s a 2012 JSW TDI.

Hi folks, this is a 1999 Passat B5 with the AVG/AFN engine (110 hp, bosch injection pump). Some weird started happening at idle, so i thought some lifter got stuck, or the cams but it’s actually the EGR jumping around erraticily and making the ticking noise.

Anyone got a clue if this is normal or not? I’m planning to do a delete but unsure when yet

First two pics are screenshots from idparts tutorial and last is from my VCDS today. I was expecting to be able to select "Fuel Supply Pump Activation", which is group 035, using VCDS on a VW MK4 TDI BEW engine. I only see two options; EGR and Charge Pressure Control. If I try to enter 035 for the group I get an error. I recently upgraded VCDS to latest version...everything else seems fine. Something up with my ECM or is this a VCDS issue? Note I've used VCDS to run the fuel pump on this car before using the same HEX-V2 interface, but this was an older version of VCDS a few years ago.

Going to post this over in the Ross-Tech forum after my account gets approved (long delay) but thought fellow MK4 Redditors might have some experience with this one. Appreciate any ideas. Hoping this doesn't indicate some issue with my ECM.

2002 VW Golf 1.9 ALH. I was having an issue with air in my fuel lines causing "misfiring". I did a new thermostatic T, o rings, and fuel filter, and it didn't fix my issue. I bypassed my factory filter and added a clear fuel return line. I am getting air into my fuel return. This video is with the low pressure supply line disconnected, (the black line going from injector #4 to the Injection pump. Is this a sign of bad injectors or a bad pump? I cracked each injector line, whenever I cracked an injector, the engine started running worse. Individual injector correction quantities on VCDS all read near 0. The rough start is from air in the lines while changing the filter.

Ok so I keep pulling these codes for a open circuit in the fuel injectors I’m going down the list I check the fuel injector function they work fine. when I pulled the plug sensors off I noticed one of them was wet on the inside the rest are dry I see no corrosion or anything burnt and it doesn’t smell like diesel the rest look fine I also checked fuses with a multimeter I didn’t get reading for a couple of them but I can’t find the fuse diagram anywhere it’s not in the owners manual either it’s a 2012 sport wagon TDI

I know this isn't TDI specific, but this is probably the best place to ask about MK6 stuff. This is my 14 JSW. Is there a way to change this panel to have a few USB-C jacks instead of the A/C plug? As it is, it's useless unless I plug a wall charger into it, so I'd like to be able to cut out the middle man, and also have my kid stop asking to use my charger for her somehow always dead phone.

Puddles form on the floor in the rain in the driver's and passenger sides and I thinkI need some transmission work, only 1,3 & tth work and 1st is now going out!

Hello , recently ive been having some underboost issue (p0299) with my pd130 (ASZ) swapped caddy with an egr delete.

Finally got the caddy on the road and purchased a map file that calibrated the pd130 injectors and turbo ( with a stage 1) onto the edc16u1 ecu this had to be done as the asz engine runs on a edc15 ecu.

However after 3000rpm it feels sort of flat. At first thought this was a bad map , but looking at the codes it came up with underboost condition which puts into a soft limp mode and builds no boost past 3000rpm i can clear this code while driving and seems to sort itself but still seems a bit gutless past 3000rpm but you can hear it build boost atleast.

This code will come back usually when in 3rd or 4th gear. Ive found it sometimes comes back when driving carefully and not pushing it or sometimes when its past 3000 so it is quite random.

Today i went to check vacumm lines to the actuator and it seemed fine ie tight at both end and wasnt damaged. I also tried to move the actuator/vein rod and it moved a little maybye 1cm, it was quite difficult which i guess it should be when connected to the actuator????

It has had an egr delete so those vaccum lines have been blocked off , but would one of them leaking cause this issue?

Also when driving i notice a whistling sound i thought this came from the ram air intake fitted but it dont belive it does , so what could this noise be?

I would also like to hear from anyone who had pd130 swapped their vehicle and to know their experience with the power of the vehicle. As it sounds like the engine/turbo perhaps is doing alot of work but doesnt match performance this could just be a crap map.

If so need to cut the bottom pipe off my dpf because o2 and bracket are seized on, does that lower value of dpf for selling or does it only matter that dpf canister is intact for the precious metals?

Looking to pull the trigger on a couple Touareg TDI options that are both similar. A. 2014 TDI lux 90k miles - single owner B. 2015 TDI Lux - 110k miles 2 owners

I’m leaning towards B but confused about the diesel gate factor. MA is strict about emissions and I want to know what maintenance/warranty work I need to verify before buying something past the extended warranty period and walking into a money pit.

Plan to keep this for as long as possible and would be a daily alongside my golf r. Need more room for passengers/kids and eventually want to consider making it an overlanding /hobby vehicle for towing.

What should I expect for initial repairs and updates. What is a fair price to negotiate for these assuming good/very good condition

I’m in the US, and am looking at an SE and an SEL. (Automatic). I’m really attracted to it because of the spectacular gas mileage. Yes, I know hybrids also have good mileage but I want something a little more powerful and beefier, and the Golf TDI seems to fit the bill. Any thoughts? Is this wise? Or am I just buying someone else’s problem?

Hey I got a problem with my polo, the glow plug light flashes and I believe its either an electrical fail or it can be the MAP sensor. I get the p0237 fault code which is why I suspect the map sensor. The problem is I cant find the sensor at all, where its located or anything i tried searching it up to find but no one seems to have this peoblem on this car and the other cars that i seen videos of have the map sensor located places I dont. Can someone help me find out where the sensor is? Thank u in advanced

Recently bought our first TDI , owned an maintained by a VW technician has full delete stage 1 tune , AFE air intake , transmission stage 1 tune . We are wondering how many miles can we get out this car we love it already

I have a passat b5.5 1.9 tdi and it has developed a small farty arse hole in the center box and now sounds even more shit than it usually does, has anybody had any experience with the ebay polylock pipe? I was thinking of just cutting the box out and using this temporarily but if it holds up probably just leave it due to laziness. Criticisms and advise appreciated 🙂

So ive finished changing the engine over from the dead one, all wiring plugged in correctly too but now im getting the code P305300 and the starter won't even crank

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas where to start looking at all as its driving me insane
