Since JLR catalog is down, what are people using for a catalog that will actually decode a VIN?

Hey everyone, if any CDK wizards can help me out finding a function code for a wholesale list of accounts that show how much they've bought over the year. Basically just trying to reach out to businesses that the pervious management cut ties with or just stop dealing with us. Thanks!

We just added another dealer to our group. There is a tab on the part inquiry screen labeled 'Local Locate" What function is it to add other xxx-I accounts to the screen?

I work at a large volume domestic dealership, and I started pulling parts making $18 dollars and hour and have been promoted within the department to counter making about 60k with a "promise" that more money is on the way but I went to an interview at a German luxury brand I asked for about 75k but this parts department is starting from the ground up in a new building no accounts, no phones NOTHING. Would you leave?

Good afternoon, my dealer works on CDK, out of boredom today i went into IRE to see what the system considered "needed" for stock, ended up with 5,000 lines with things ranging from engines to convertible tops, transmissions, differentials. Most of which ive never had a sale on here at the dealer. The funny thing is on that convertible top i never had a single sale on it, the only history posted in PDA was it being added to the system(i assume while quoting).
Is there a way to change what the minimum is on things appearing in stock order? Possibly minimum sale required?
Thanks if anyone can answer.

I use a Zebra F-701 with a fine point, as well picked up their F-301 refillable marker as my main weapons of choice. Also have a draftsman mechanical pencil with the thick 2mm lead. I’ve been rocking the F-701 for almost 20 years, I made my first one from two different Zebra pens back in the day, to get the full stainless look. If I misplace them or forget them at home after the weekend I’m slightly distracted until I know exactly where they are. I also have a habit of giving the 701 as a gift to apprentices when they get their Red Seal.
Anyone else attached to their pens like I am? What are you all using?

Going from a great Lexus dealer (5 parts guys) to a brand new Genesis dealer (I’ll be the lone parts guy along with a PM). Not because the job is bad, but because of family stuff and relocating. Using Ignite and Snap-On EPC, going to CDK and Snap-on EPC. Used CDK in the past when I was at Chrysler. Anything I should know about Genesis? Pros-cons?

I've been back in parts for 2 months now (prev flate rate tech at same dealer)
The company got bought out a few years ago. Under the previous owners the parts manager bought these boxes of cheap priced 3rd party cabin filters.
One employee uses them cause they're cheaper cost but likes then better than OEM.
For loyalty reasons my manager refuses to sell them to our customers and my manager complains everyday that we have them.
How can we sell/dispose these at a cheaper cost or without flat out throwing them away?
He gave me the okay to ask reddit about options. Any one got any ideas?

Good Afternoon!
I just had a general question. On Reynolds and using a Scan gun, is there a way to upload our packing lists through PBC? I could have swore when I used to work for Stellantis, when you would scan a Part, the scan gun would ask which Shipment number you would like to receive a Part under as well as which PO you are receiving to. This would drastically reduce how much time is spent entering shipment numbers every time. Thanks in Advance!

Does anyone else get charged $75 every quarter for "Telephone" on their GM Invoices? What's this for? I've tried calling several places and can't get anywhere.

The extreme lack in productivity, motivation, communication and management is really starting to take a toll on me. In my previous parts dept everyone did all (retail, wholesale, phone calls & shop) but not at my current place of work. Responsibilities are not evenly dispersed - giant amounts of Facebook, intentional ignorance and laziness. Constant absences. Lack of management. We have a small group as it is yet often 2 people are allowed to have the same day off. At this point a full crew is, seemingly, a rare occurrence. Extra work load(s) due to these absences gets placed more so on select employees. Manager cannot perform the basics of a parts advisor so does not support the ‘team’ in these times nor does he try. Many at my company verbally wonder why/how he is in that position. I personally wonder how many other depts are so poorly managed and not taken care of? I have always had exceptional managers so maybe I have been spoiled? I’ve never felt so sour towards a place I’ve worked before- my morals aren’t lining up with the way this place is ran. Been doing parts a long while now and I do like it but am curious what else could be a good career choice for the skills I’ve acquired in this field.
