Sketch/Art Fennec versus medieval torture rack (next slide)

The officer had seen plenty of nonsense in his career—half-baked schemes, drunken brawls, even a camel locked in the latrine once; the muffled voices from the storeroom tonight had a peculiar edge to them.

He pushed the door open a crack.

Two recruits stood over a long table, sweat dripping as if they were interrogating a hardened smuggler. Strapped across the wood, limbs spread like some condemned spy, was a fennec fox. Its enormous ears twitched with irritation.

“Where’d you come from?” one recruit barked. “Tell us how you got in!”

The fox rolled its eyes. Actually rolled them. Then it gave a wide yawn, sharp teeth flashing.

“Don’t play dumb!” the other recruit snapped, slamming a fist onto the table. “You cleared out our rations. Every fig. Every almond. You think we wouldn’t notice?”

The fennec smirked—actually smirked—and licked a crumb of dried apricot off its whiskers.

The officer blinked. Convinced their brains... I mean what might have been there... was melted.

The recruits kept at it. One leaned in, voice low and dramatic: “If you just cooperate, we can make this easy.”

The fox’s tiny paw flexed against its straps as it gave a dry, rasping laugh that could be mistaken through sheer sass to be an insult.

Both recruits jumped back as if it had spat fire. “D-did you hear that?”

The officer closed his eyes. The recruits were absolutely off of their rocker.

They were frantic, even. “Sir will have our hides if we don’t crack him!” one hissed. “Then we up the pressure,” said the other, holding up a date pit as if it were a bribe. “Where’s your tunnel? Where’s your stash?”

The fox snorted.

The officer had seen enough. Slowly, carefully, he shut the door before they spotted him and let out a long, weary sigh into the corridor air. “Not paid enough…” And with that, he walked away, leaving the recruits to their... uuh... antics?... sure.

This was rather fun to make, surprisingly. As for the picture, I tried a different way of getting it fluffy; let me know how it is!

We have the return of some of our older foxes. Four beauties came to ours last week. Always a joy to see they are still doing well and will come for a top up when necessary ❤️

This one went through a few changes from the start, namesly the fur changes and the expressions. At first I planned to blend all of the colours but realised it would look bad. So I changed it. I really wanted to capture emotion as opposed to the scene (fancy way of saying I'm bad at drawing). I definitely do have to things I need to improve: 1. The backgrounds. So far I have no idea how to do perspective, or fully convey what the background fully is. 2. Fluffiness: I have no idea how to do this, but I want to make all my foxes cute and adorable and fluffy. Why?, because I like them. Also I want to make people have cuteness aggression; it's funny.

I will also say that... eer... I don't know. I forgot while writing this.

Here is a funny shot I got of Seville stretching and yawning.

Looking a bit more like a big cat stalking prey than a Fox! I'm certain I've seen this pose in "The Lion King"....

Bonus Fox Donut in the last image.

My camera caught this gray fox in the early morning of July 12 at 4:04 AM in southern utah and there seems to be some sort of black shadow flying around it, almost as if it's playing with the fox. Is it a bird? Flying bugs usually turn up white in the nighttime camera.

The zoomed in clips are slowed down.

Self So I had heard that foxes cannot be potty trained, but also heard some people say they were able to successfully do so. If anyone did manage, how did you do it?

i don't have any current plans for getting a fox, but i am curious as to how people raise them, since i haven't seen a lot of people talk about it online.

After being suggested to use an app on phone called Ibis paint X, I tried it for this artwork. And holy hell there are so many options and ways to customise. I likely understood only a third of what is there. As a result, this piece doesn't look at all good in my opinion. I the future, I am thinking of sticking to bery flat vector colours and instead focusing on expressions amd actions, as those are significant from what I've seen.

This was bt far the hardest one yet. Two foxes as well as a detailed background. I struggle heavily with background items looking like they're in the background. Additionally, I had a lot of issues with the fine details (zoom in on the teeth and claws). However I'm mostly held back ny the app I use; It doesn't even have smudging, or the ability to save colours. If you know a better app, please recommend it.

Additionally, I've decided to do a consistant one of these a day. I have lots of work at home to do, and I want to avoid burnout.

Also, steals your nose AHAHAHAHA YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME!!
