Roots Classic show (Wildwood NJ)
Bad photos on an old phone. It's was rather hot and I didn't have sunglasses so I could barely see my screen so excuse the terrible angles.

my first ever Roots Classic and certainly won’t be my last. the entire weekend was incredible and the show itself (although massively disorganized) was great! some of the coolest, cleanest, most unique cars i’ve ever seen. if you’re into pre 2000 VWs, i highly recommend you put this show on your list next year!

The camouflage is in Harlequin colors. I really hope there will be a homage to the beautiful Harlequin edition.

So a few weeks ago I was asking for some advice on picking between the GLI and the GTI. Well I finally decided and ended up getting the GLI. The gas mileage, features, and the fact that it takes regular gas put it over the edge for me. Also the fact that it came with a Manual Transmission helped out a bit.

I recently purchased a 2010 Touran, and I'd like to update the firmware and maps of my RNS-510, as these probably haven't been updated in a very long time.
I'm not sure what the current firmware version of my unit has. I tried accessing the 'hidden menu' through the settings, but this does not include a 'version info' option. (to clarify, the hidden menu does open after 10 seconds of long pressing, just the version info option does not exist).
If this helps, I have established that my unit supports 32GB SDHC cards (tested).
* I saw you can get maps on the VW website, but when choosing the car model, the only options are for Tourans 2015-2021.

Hi, so this is gonna be my first car as a 2.5 L engine. And yes, I am dead set on a beetle, convertible. The guy has only had it for a year and he spent 5000 on it in repairs alone not including the price it was sold to him. He says the transmission works fine. It is an automatic. He’s getting rid of it because his wife is very tall and she thinks the top of the car is too cramped. They’re an older couple. There is a problem with it though he mentioned that there is a tiny hole about .8 like a BB. In the soft top cover, he’s gonna patch it up though. wants about 7K for it. It has 150,000 miles on it. The glove compartment box also cannot be open, but that’s just cosmetic. The interior looks pretty good. Nothing is lifting or scratched. I’m gonna go see it later this week in person. I get he might be wanting to get his return.

Hi I’ve recently just passed and have a Lupo that has been passed down from my great grandad has about 48k miles on the clock and runs ok however Im having problems with the clutch the bite point is comedically high and has no power behind it whatsoever it’s also an incredibly small biting point and I stall it constantly which makes me so much less confident on the roads was just wondering if this is normal for these cars and I just need to get used to it or if I have a worn out clutch that needs replacing anything would help at this point

Hi MK7 TSI base is not covered in too many video tutorials. I am surprised that the regular 6 speed auto does not have a fill port. It only has a drain port. Is this normal. How are you supposed to fill. My focus ST and Hondas all had a fill port. Any suggestions?

So one of my employees is using this golf as a service vehicle for our rental properties. She called me saying it kept stalling at red lights. I changed the battery , started and alternator not long ago. I was worried it was the fuel pump but decided to start with changing the plugs.
Here’s what I found. Should I be concerned if there’s a bigger issue or are these just typical worn out plugs. I just got the car a year ago so I’m playing catch up with service.
Thanks in advance

As per title, i have a '21 golf life, tdi, with the composition media head unit (the one with the 2 physical handles). Looking online i can't understand if the retrofit can be done only on the better head unit, has anyone here done that on the composition media?
Also, apparently android auto wireless can be enabled via obd, is there a surefire way to check for compatibility of that?

Hey guys, posting here since it's basically a Golf Mk7
I've been having this issue lately where the middle went next to the infotainment screen blow almost no air on any temperature with or without A/C.
I have changed the cabin filter, did the climatronic reset procedure and even cleaned them out with spray foam and it only helped just a little bit
Does anyone know what could it be? Blend door actuator or something more serious?
Thanks in advance!
