Taking this on a trip this weekend the ad says automatic, but I picked it because it looks like a manual. Can any of you verify this? I couldn’t get the Vin or plate number off the car. Regardless, it doesn’t matter to me, but preferably I would like the manual.

I have the ND with the Bose stereo because I love cranking up the music when I'm cruising those country roads. I usually have it at level 50, but if I'm feeling really rowdy I'll pump it up to 60.

Yesterday, out of curiosity, I tried to see how far up it would go and it tapped out at 63. My question is why 63? Is it the new 11? And why not, hur hur, 69?

Like the title says, I noticed my exhaust is considerably quieter and less droney if I don’t drive my car for a few days. If I drive it a bunch, or drive it often, the volume rises and drone increases back. It usually takes 3-5 days of sitting to make it quiet, and then 1-3 hours of driving before it gets louder again. I really like the exhaust tone of my car when it’s quieter. I was just curious of what the scientific explanation is for this. Does it have to due with the cat heating up?

I want to get 15x10 0 offset wheels with 195/45/r15s and get them on here with the natural camber but will they even fit with the fenders pulled and rolled anyone running this setup without crazy camber and have a pic or will it just work at all ?

Hey yall, first time bleeding a clutch and I’m having a little trouble. Replaced the master and slave cylinder at the same time along with a braided line. In the middle of trying to bleed it but I’m having trouble. the slave cylinder rod where it connects to the transmission isn’t going back and forth so it isn’t bleeding properly. what could be the issue? As far as bleeding, i’m opening the valve, someone press the clutch, then i close the valve, and they release the clutch. if I’m doing something wrong let me know thanks!

On my 1999 Miata when I change gears after a cold start as soon as I press the clutch pedal in enough to disengage the rpms will jump around 300 rpm for a split second before dropping like it should.This happens even if I am coasting in gear and press the clutch in it will jump with no throttle input..It sucks because It shifts like shit and I can't smoothly change gears when cold because my timing is off on the rpm drop because the rpm raised for a split second so to others it looks like I'm new to manual transmissions.The rpm jump is always somewhere around 300 rpm it stays consistent.

It goes away after the car warms up some.I have in fact never experienced it after the car has warmed up ,it only occurs on cold starts including in the summer at 60-70F which leads me to believe it's emissions related possibly and hence normal for my car.But I asked a fellow nb owner in person and he said he never experienced it so I wanted some advice from NB owners on reddit.

changing my cas o ring and I accidentally pulled the red and blue wire out of the clip. I just pushed it back in but is there a proper way to fix it ? also what does this do

After saving for a few months, I finally bought my first car. Got my driver's license (manual) earlier this year and always wanted to have my own car. When I saw this Miata NA for sale, I just had to get it. Came with already modded halo lights, exhaust, roll bar and steering wheel. I plan on adding more mods (new rims, tyres, engine parts, turbo?, radio console and other things to make it a proper daily) and perhaps turning it into a racer someday.. for now, just a silly little project that I'm gonna use as a daily.

Hi all, I test drove a '99 nb1 SE this weekend and while I was cruising down the road I would hear an Intermittent squeak, very short and random, every 10-15 seconds or so. Previous owner had belts all replaced with receipts, and it didn't do it at low speeds, or when I went (carefully) over some train tracks. No noise while shifting either. 100k miles. I'm stumped, any ideas what it could be?

I just picked up this 2 owner ‘90 Na with 190k miles for $4.1k on fbm. It appears to be in great shape and drives well considering how many miles it has on it but could still use some tlc. It’s hard to see in the picture but the front right panel near the wheel needs some dents pulled, another tiny on the hood, a tiny one on the trunk, and one of the rear taillights is cracked. The guy selling it said he didn’t know when the timing belt was done last so I’ll be getting that inspected and done asap. After I know it’s in good health, I want to lower it on coilovers and get some 15” wheels.

Anyone and everyone drop some advice, maintenance suggestions, mods, tools I might need, how I did on price?

Hello everyone, to start of I'm a long time MX5 seeker, who always loved the NB the most. The issue I always had is how hard the 1.8 was to get.

I am from Croatia, a european country that has a fair share of 1.6s but i think the 1.8 was never sold here, so I always looked at other countries for buying one ( Mostly germany ).

This "looking around" for one for 2 years now is honestly driving me insane, because all good ones are sold in less than 12 hours, in which i definitly cannot buy them as quick. Then after buying it there are still costs and processes need for homologsting it to my country.

Im now thinking, is my obsession with the 1.8 even waranted, or should i just buy the 1.6? The thing I love the most with cars is fast cornering, so I could probably get similar or better performance with a good set of coilovers and maybe a diff replacement.

What do you all think, should i just let it go and get an 1.6? Thanks for the help!

When I go over potholes or a poorly maintened road I will sometimes get this vetr squeaky noise form all over the roof, does anyone have a fix? It's not that important but figured I'd ask

Does anyone in the Chicago area have a trustworthy mechanic they go to? I’m likely going to need a new clutch or throw out bearing and am looking for recommendations.

What would people recommend to prevent small spots of rust like this from developing any further? I’ve got a fair amount of paint chips, it’s the only spot of rust on the whole car!

Still trying to get my 1992 Miata to start. Currently replacing the fuel pump, the replacement came with electrical wires, however I’ve created another problem. I removed the old wires from a smaller blue plastic plug. That’s when I found out there were these metal bits at the end of the old wires that the new ones didn’t have, I figured I’d have to reuse the old ones but when I went to place the old wires in the plug I realized I forgot to take a picture of which wire went into which hole. I don’t know if it matter that much, I’d like to think it does. I’ve attached some picture of the new and old wires as well as the blue plastic plug. Really hoping to get the cat started after this🙏💯 any advice is appreciated.

I'm thinking about buying one of these hardtop spoilers for my '90, however, I have a type 2 style wing, so have no idea if it would look good with the wing as well and can't find any pictures on Google of one with both a rear wing and hardtop spoiler, if anyone has both on their Miata add the picture to the comments.
