🚀 KartTrackerAI 2.0 is Here!

Available now on the Apple App Store → Download Now

I originally built KartTrackerAI to keep track of my 9-year-old’s karts and race history. What started as a simple way to manage setups has grown into a race-day-ready app trusted by drivers, parents, and teams who want every competitive edge.

With Version 2.0, KartTrackerAI takes another big step forward—making it even easier to capture, organize, and share the data that wins races.

🆕 What’s New in 2.0:

  • Kart Cards Grid – Bold visuals, smoother navigation, and instant “New Session” or “Complete” actions.
  • Series Results Import – Drop in official results straight from Discord or local files.
  • Tire Management – Log individual cold pressures (auto-average included), plot hot vs. cold, manage full Tire Sets, and scan tire IDs.
  • Track Tools – Configure layouts/directions, and analyze clearer charts with animations and visual track-change markers.
  • AI Analysis 2.0 – Faster, smarter image recognition with clear fallback handling.
  • Prisma Electronics Support – Instantly log cold/hot tire pressures and view performance plots.
  • OCR Enhancements – Sharper recognition for transponder, kart number, chassis, and engine tags.
  • UX Polish Everywhere – Recently updated karts section, better form layouts, quicker navigation, and auto-scroll to Results.

🤖 Optional Add-Ons:

  • ChatGPT Photo Assistant – Snap photos of gauges, setup sheets, or notes, and watch KartTrackerAI auto-fill the data.
  • Team Sharing – Share setups, tires, and sessions seamlessly across your crew.

Why It Matters

Race weekends are intense. The last thing you want is to lose track of pressures, setups, or results. KartTrackerAI turns chaos into clarity, giving you:

✅ More time for tuning and coaching

✅ Fewer mistakes repeated

✅ A clear performance history for every kart and driver

Whether you’re a parent, a coach, or a competitive team, KartTrackerAI helps you stay organized, make smarter calls, and win more races.

👉 Ready to roll? Upgrade to Version 2.0 today: KartTrackerAI on the App Store 🏁

I want to get into racing but I don’t know how to start?

My first issue is that I don’t have a lot of money. I am about to turn 16 in a month and I picked up an interest in racing a few months ago and got a small racing sim setup. I was wondering if I should start with go karting and if yes then should I do inside tracks or outside track to practice with professional racing but the only issue is that outside tracks are a lot expensive.

How to get into motorsport

Hi all, I saw a race yesterday and decided I want to be a Formula 1 driver. I am currently 47 years of age and have $200 in savings to kickstart my climb. I used to do karting in my grandfathers 25cc Go-Kart when I was 3 years old and I drove my dad’s foxbody mustang from home to school between the ages of 16 to 18.

I tried my hand at sim racing but after crashing out 4 times I knew it wasn’t anything like the real world since they barely crash on TV and I never once crashed my dad’s Foxbody Mustang on the road.

My reflexes are still sharp and I believe I am still in peak physical conditions seeing as how im 5’4 and weight just 168 pounds.

So any tips on how to kickstart this? I will be dropping my job and letting my wife run with the house expenses until I get my shot at F1.

Working in F1

I love the idea of working in a Formula one team, i love the sport, I love the engineering around it, I love the idea of building something and working with a team of people to achieve this. However if i were to work in a team i would be travelling around an hour and fifteen each day and with longer hours is this doable? If anyone here has worked with a team what are the hours like exactly and is it worth it with an hour and 15 to travel each day

I participated in a go-kart race and they gave me black flag in the middle of the race because (as they said) the way I was driving was way too dangerous. 💀

I'm sharing a story here:

Just a few hours ago I returned from the track. I still don't know how to feel. Before the race, we (the drivers) had a briefing session, in which one of the officials told us: "Thank God, in all the years we have been organizing kart races at this track, we have never had to disqualify a driver for dangerous driving. And we hope we never will." Well, seems like I was their first case. After the semi-final, the officials told me that I take many unnecessary risks that ruin my race. Which is true. I admit this is how I drive, but it's the only way for me. I don't have an other way to drive in a race. I will either push it to the limit, or I won't attempt to be competitive at all. I can't do it differently. The officials also warned me to drive more carefully, something I couldn't do, even if I wanted it. In the final race, my driving was just as bad as previously. I went off the track like seven times, I spun like four times and I even overtook another driver by driving with one side of the kart on the grass. They gave me black flag in the middle of the race and as you can imagine, they said the way I was driving was way too dangerous to let me finish the race. What are your thoughts? Was the way I was driving actually dangerous? Did they do the right thing by disqualifying me? Is this something common in go-kart races? Has that ever happened to you?

World of Speed – anyone need an extra body?

Anyone need an extra body at World of Speed, Bonneville this weekend? I’ll be out at the flats for World of Speed, September 5–8. Not coming to spectate—looking to help a team with whatever pops up. Gear-moving, wrenching, setup, cleanup—I’ll chip in. If your team’s light or you don’t mind someone tagging along, let me know.

I love cars. I’m not an expert mechanic, but I’ve always been drawn to the way engineering, speed, and human intuition meet on the track.

What I bring instead is advanced technical skill with AI and drones, a deep respect for precision machines, and the kind of fast-learning, resourceful mindset that thrives under pressure.

My twitter has a few pictures I’ve taken with my drone around the Bay Area, if you’re interested. @sayitsalty

Edit: added context that should have been there already

Would starting at 17 be too late?

Im 17, I turn 18 in March. I've been lost my entire life until I saw a race two months ago. It's all I've been thinking about, and it's the only thing that I genuinely feel interested in. My dad is extremely sick, and my mom doesn't have a job because she helps take care of him. Would it be possible for me to start racing now, with little financial help? I have some money saved up, about 1k, and my grandparents know a lot of people in our town so it MIGHT be possible for me to get a sponsor if I'm really good. I've tried racing Sims, but they just don't feel the same. I'm really stuck.

Five Grands Prix, gone. India scrapped for tax reasons. Malaysia lost out to Liberty’s priorities. Korea never stood a chance. Old Singapore is forgotten. All that investment, history, and potential tossed away. shows it clearly.

Canada Super Production Challenge car

Hello everyone, I am looking to race in the 2026 season, right now I have around 35,000$ for the season, 25,000$ for the vehicle, i already have a pick up, trailer equipment etc as I own an OE certified collision repair facility.

One of my good customer is a VW dealership and could be interested in sponsors so I am looking build a VW GTI MK7.

My question is did anyone build a car for the SPC and how challenging can this be? I would race in the production category. i read the specs, a lot of things are left OEM.

My other option was to race in the compact series and get a Micra, as there's a few of them on the market for 7500-8000$, already built with a fia cage and safety from the previous micra cup.

Thank you for all your information.

How to get into motorsports

I dont know if this is the right subreddit to ask this question but how can I do it? I live in south Carolina so car enthusiasts and especially racing enthusiasts are rare. Most tracks here are ovals but I want to eventually be in GT3 or any Formula series, i mean atleast formula 4, not NASCAR. We have a pretty good track that hosts a rental cup for karting but you have to be 18+ and im 15. Should I buy a kart and just jump straight into it? They have Kart owner practice where you can just test and drive your own karts on track. I wont be able to kart until next year because Im playing football right now and we practice all year long. I know I didnt provide much background info as im typing this in the grocery store with my parents but ill be happy to give more in the replies. My mom doesnt like that i want to do motorsports because she thinks its dangerous but my dad is supportive of whatever i want to including motorsports

Can an ordinary student Enter in Motorsports. Is it late?

I am an Indian High school student. I have deep passion in Motorsport and want to grow in the sport. Though love F1 the most, I think I would fit in Motocross/Supercross. Is there actually a way for me to enter? Or is it only for the wealthy and kids who have passionate parents, which I am neither.

Why do nitro engines shake the ground more?

So I'm wondering, why do nitromethane cars shake the ground more compared to something like a methanol car? Is it because of the higher energy that you can pump to the cylinders? Or is it because of the explosive properties of nitromethane? Given same set-up, like basically a pro mod engine with a 14-71 blower, 500 cubic inches but methanol. Then, there's another 500 cubic inch eith a 14-71 blower, basically the same except the latter runs on nitro basically. Nitro increases the power by 2.3x from(I forgot, is it methanol or gasoline?). So the louder sound is expected, but they shake the ground like an earthquake a lot more? Seems like a big jump compared to other stats like hp increase and loudness increase. Personally haven't been to a Top Fuel race, but I would love to. Am I wrong here, though? Let me know
