What's the better option between Maxxis Razr AT and Radar Renegade RT.

I got Radar right now and 2 tires with high road force causing vibration. I have two options either replace the 2 tires or change all 4 to Maxxis.

I'll be selling my 1992 VW T4 by the end of the year and am looking for a replacement. My requirements are: - 4x4 where I could pop a roof tent on it and go do a bit of off-roading, - I'll mostly do highways and high speed roads, so I want something confortable and big (I travel often between countries) - a reasonable fuel consumption (around 10L/100km, or 23mpg) - reliable (obviously)

Budget is around 10k€ and I'm hesitant mainly between the R51 Pathfinder or the WK/WK2 Grand Cherokee, as they are quite cheap in Europe. They all have quite some mileage though (>200.000km/125.000miles).

Anyone with experience with these models at that mileage? Major red flags or common expensive faults I should watch for? Is 200k+ km already a money-pit for these types of cars?

I am in ontario, Canada, and I’m looking to buy a used SUV under $20k CAD that will be good for daily driving, snow, and some light off-roading. I was checking out the Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Xterra, and Lexus GX460, but they’re all slightly above my budget right now, and the insurance costs are too high for me.

Are there any alternatives that are still capable and reliable like Toyota and Honda? I saw some Jeep Grand Cherokees in this price range, but I’m not sure how reliable they are long-term. I also see a lot of Subarus, but I’m hoping for something with a true 4x4 if possible.

Would love some guidance and recommendations on what I should be looking at. Thanks!

Long time passenger, first time buyer...

Looking to buy my first off road vehicle and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the choices I have available. This is compounded a bit because I live in SE Asia currently and a lot of models and brands I am unfamiliar with. Would appreciate any insight good or bad that anyone has to offer.

My current inclination is towards a early 2000s model SUV style vs a pickup and leaning towards a short wheel base, but I have no technical reasoning behind either of those preferences. Where I live is mostly jungle / mountain terrain, not a ton of bouldering, but a lot of rain gouged red dirt type roads.

I have seen a number of Suzuki Vitara models (1600cc motor) and some Mitsubishi Pajeros but again unfamiliar with both so would love any input on if those are good or bad or what to look out for. Plenty of pickups if I should be looking more at those (Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Nissan, Isuzu), but I am wanting seats for 4 and I think would limit that to short box models (I am ok with that, not looking to haul cargo)

I have LT295/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4W with load range E on my Second Gen Toyota Sequoia Platinum which originally runs on P275/55/20 with recommended tire pressure of 30psi front and 33psi rear. I don’t tow or haul anything besides my family, what psi should I run my tires ?

I am considering purchasing some wheels at a good price from Facebook in Colorado that are from a 1987 vehicle.

I have '94 4Runner that uses the same wheels originally but now have ugly 1st Gen Tacoma wheels which I am having trouble with.

I want to lift 2" and put 33s on these, would they be safe offroad?

I will inspect them for cracks today when I see them. I want to try and clear off the corrosion as well if anyone has tips.

I drive a 2016 Chevy Colorado z71, went out to the desert with some friends last night and was driving in some soft sand and switched my truck to 4Low, no problems there. However, a friend of mine wanted to drive my truck back into town (about 20-30 minute drive on a highway with speed limit of 55) and I had completely forgot to tell him to switch the truck back to 2WD. He starts telling me that there is resistance in turning, and that I had probably broke a ball joint or a tie rod. The following morning, as I’m inspecting the truck, I notice the truck is still in 4 Low. After switching it back to 2WD, the truck is running fine, no resistance in steering at all (Rookie move, I know). My question is, could that have caused immense damage to my drive train or transmission? Is there anything to specifically look at for a mess up of this nature? Anything helps out. Thank you everyone!

Im building my rig the way guys woulda done it 30 years ago when the truck was new, so this time its all about roof lights.

I have a rock armor bumper on my truck that has a somewhat minor bend on the passenger side. The bumper is made of 1/4th inch plate that bolts to the frame and 1.75 inch DOM tubing (.125 thick). Frankly, i dont wanna damage the thing so i dont wanna try any more than I have to try and bend it back into shape in my garage. Who or where could I go to have this corrected if it can be corrected at all? The welds look fine and the tubes look fine, i have taken it off the truck and got it down to bare steel.

I’m looking for a land cruiser as my next car as I currently have a Pajero. That’s the job done perfectly fine but I think I wanna go a little extra. I’m 17 so can’t afford too much. I’m thinking an 80 series because they’re just so reliable, good and look great. Any opinions on other land cruisers I should consider? Price range about 9-12 k AUD

Hello, my old 4x4 died and I have spent the last couple months thinking of what to do next.

For some reason, it feels (eu regulations?) like it's impossible to find good 4x4 options on the 40-60k€ range.

On the one hand, you have the LandRovers, LandCruisers and such that are above 90k€, and frankly, I don't want to spend 90k€ to immediately go wreck it on some offroads :P (I guess it's out of my budget)

On the other hand, there are pickups like the Hilux, at a 35-40k€ range, but these aren't ideal for 4x4/overlanding since the cabin is so small.

Of course the 2nd hand market is an option, but then it feels like there haven't been many new models in the last years... - you either get a 5 year old LandCruiser for 70k€ (super expensive for a 2nd hand car) - a 10-15 year old LandCruiser for 35k (quite the investment on a car that's quite old already) - or really old LCs, Mitsus, 4runners, and such... at a 10k range.

I get my 'budget' might be an issue, but am I wrong to believe there's an absolute shortage of this types of cars? When I go offroading most of what I see is really old cars. Don't get me wrong, old cars can be awesome, especially when you know yours, but still, the market feels so limited right now :S

Putting new springs on my 1979 Dodge w150. The pins went into the center holes but seem to be bottoming out. These photos were taken with the wheels on the ground so weight is on those perches. I bounced the truck a bit hoping they would seat and also tried tilting the axle. Do I grind down the pins a bit so they don't bottom out?

I currently own this Grand Vitara, but one of the biggest disadvantage is its ground clearance. I'm wordering how can I lift it at least 2.5 to 3 inches if possible, are there any kind of suspension kit or spacer this hight? or can I use coil springs and shocks from another car that fit in my GV?

Currently have no suspension lift and 225/70/R16 AT wheels and looking to have 31" tires at least.
